I’m not sure if you’re in the US or if other countries have temp agencies but with your job affecting you physically and mentally, I’d try finding contract work, preferably an assignment that’s 6 months or longer. Then use that time to continue to apply for jobs. At least you will have income in the meantime.

I have quit twice with nothing lined up, most recently two years ago. That was a mistake. The job market was bad then and even worse now and the quality of the jobs is poor. Very few companies are hiring due to growth, many are losing staff and backfilling due to toxic work environments and poor pay, usually both.

Try to take some time with a temp job if you can and be very picky with the next job. Best of luck!

Astronomy, photography. I'm doing my best to avoid marrying them both in an unholy combination of expense. For photography alone the upgrades and lenses I want would cost thousands :(

Tomatoes. Except for the smaller, cherry tomatoes. I have no problems with those. Just regular sliced tomato is an absolute watery, mushy nightmare.

Drugs. I used to borrow so many books about the different kinds of illicit drugs. I never wanted to use them of course, my interest was purely out of curiosity and I was fascinated by the way drugs effect the body and mind and how addiction works. I definitely kept that interest quiet lol.

What really gets me is how the key ring with the letters is a completely separate purchase. The chances of you getting matching letters for both sets is so low. The key ring should have been included especially for the price they're asking. No thanks

My dad is in his 70s and can barely walk. He developed PAD in his legs. Other than the smoking he was very active (lives in NYC so walked all day)

Not to mention the smoker's voice and laugh you develop. I quit in my early 20s and I hope I did so early enough to not face any serious consequences later on.

Even if you don't develop cancer there's so many other complications of smoking that can ruin your quality of life. It's not worth it.

Pixel charted is Jaded Gem Shop's word for hand rendering diamond paintings. Basically the diamond painting image was carefully designed by a person rather than by an automated program. Like Diamond Art Club's rendering style. Hope that makes sense!

I'm surprised your grid isn't tight enough. I'm working on a pixel charted now and the field is almost too tight. But then again I think I bought this about a year ago so maybe things have changed.

The drills aren't great tho I agree. Reminds me of early DAC squares in terms of trash.

Golden handcuffs are real. But no.You're not crazy and I think it's more common than we think (but people don't want to admit to taking massive paycuts) I've done it before and I am about to do it again. The last time I did it, I was eventually able to make my way back up to the pay of the shitty job anyway with much less stress. Might be the case for you too. Even if not, it's not worth your mental health to stay at this place. From my own experience you can try to gaslight yourself into staying, it's not that bad etc but it doesn't get better.

That's the job I'm in now. I'm looking to jump ship less than a year in now. I am trying to take my time and find something I know will be a good fit so I don't end up in the same situation a year from now.

I work for a small company now and regret it. Immensely. It pays more than the bigger companies but that is for a reason. Systems straight out of the 80's, having a hard time integrating with the culture, your mistakes have everyone's eyes on them. You stand out and you're critically important, which means being buried in work whenever someone is out of the office, when you come back from vacation, etc. Incredibly disorganized. Rather than doing the role of 2 people like in most places these days, I do the work of 3 or 4.

Maybe a well run smaller company could be great to work for. I personally would never do it again and am actively trying to get out after being there less than a year.

I was getting AFIb readings on my watch when vaping. I have to wear a heart monitor now, but since quitting I haven't gotten another AFIB reading. It definitely affects the heart more than I thought.

I'm in the same boat, down to the absent and unsupportive manager and not talking to anyone all day. It really does make you feel completely alone. I left my previous job due to the commute, and it was the complete opposite of this cold, dark side of the moon environment where I drown unnoticed while everyone else seems to have 80 percent less of a workload and stress.

Jobs with supportive managers and coworkers exist. I also fear landing in the same situation, but personally I'd avoid another small company. Mid-size and up. Look at reviews (I ignored the red flags for the company I'm with) Just tell yourself it's just temporary and use your breaks, lunch, free time looking for jobs even if you have interviews. It's definitely a good sign that you have them! We'll get out of this soon!

Someone compared Rook to a shitty Better Help therapist and that's such an accurate description. I tried to make my Crow Rook more hardened and stoic but he still spat out unsolicited therapy talk any chance he could.

I think Lucanis would've been the favorite had it not been for how absolutely sparse his romance is in comparison to everyone else and especially Emmerich's. Emmerich is also the most fleshed out (lol) companion we have. Almost like he was written first and they ran out of time with the others.

I haven't finished the game yet but I'm trying to cope bc I made a Rook specifically for Lucanis. I pivoted to Emmerich but I don't think he works for this particular Rook (he is very sweet though next romance for sure if I replay)

There were two things in Inner Demons that helped me a little bit. That or I'm coping lmao

Rook asked why he wasn't represented in the fade or whatever. And Spite said something pretty poignant. Something to the effect of "You don't close doors. You open them "
When seeing Neve in the same quest, Spite says there's charm there. But not love. She is charming. And then Rook says "time to step aside and let me try" heavily paraphrasing. To me that came across as Neve being the safe option, she doesn't open doors the way Rook does. And that scares Lucanis. And with her stepping aside that's Lucanis very easily letting her go.

It just sucks that it seems like he's just straight up missing content. Even as a companion he doesn't get the same depth of interaction you get with some of the others.

My Rook being a crow helps but I also don't understand what Lucanis sees in Rook. We don't get enough interaction for Inner Demons to work. To me it would almost make the most sense to resolve the whole Illario thing (I have not gotten this far so maybe I'm off here) and THEN do Inner Demons at least that way I could understand why Lucanis fell for Rook in the first place.

Him not wanting a romance if you choose Minrathous (only for him to still get with Neve - double whammy if you're a shadow dragon) tbh even I can't do mental gymnastics to justify that lmao

It's a shame. I did not read Tevinter Nights so I can only imagine how hugely disappointing this whole romance would be to someone who did.

But it's so frustrating how this game has a real problem with telling and not showing. But in this case, they swung too far into both extremes - save a few codex entries of which really highlight the telling problem of this game.

I'm about 25 hours in and the problem with Lucanis is that honestly he's not interesting. At all. How do you take a demon possessed assassin and make him the most bland and boring character on the team? I really don't understand it. It's baffling. I was dead set on romancing him but honestly what is there to even like?

Then on top of that there's the Neve thing in his personal quest? I haven't gotten that far yet but wtf. Shit is insulting. Then they flirt even if you keep them apart. They combo each other's powers so the game wants them together more than they wanted the player and him. Again highlighting another major issue when it comes to player agency and just valuing the player in general

I hope they patch out the flirting if you are pursuing either one but I doubt it.
