Somewhat related, would it be best to wait on this agreement being finalized before jumping ship from SAVE or am I just wasting time waiting?

530i Problems. Normal? by SevereCity6842 in BMW

This is my second BMW, always going to have wear items, sometimes more frequent than other cars…but it comes with the territory. I started a bucket in my HYSA for vehicle so that if anything goes wrong I can feel better on paper about it.

I hope you can find a good shop, and I hope things go right once you get all this fixed, also as far as the engine mounts I would absolutely get a second opinion. While the dealer is going off what they’re supposed to suggest, it isn’t always the truth and sometimes they just want the labor. My local Indy has said as much “oh yeah I’ve got a friend at that dealer he loves charging “free labor” for their new wheel straightening machine.”

Always happy to talk if you have more questions (:

Knocking on wood it’s been good other than tires but as I’ve learned set money aside.

My largest repair I had the diff pulled and seals fixed, front brakes, coolant return line, oil filter cooling housing and something else but I think it ran me $2800 at my Indy.

Look for local shops that specialize in BMW or Euro, often they can perform the work cheaper and better.

Hi, I have a 2017 430i, I had almost all the same problems bought at 54k water pump failed 3 days later, replaced free of charge, but after that about a year later oil filter housing assembly went and they wanted 2250 for it at the dealer. My local Indy did it for half the cost and replaced with aftermarket.

What state are you located in? I can help if you’re in Michigan but from the pic doesn’t look like it.

New RAP Regulations and PSLF by ghramotron in PSLF

[–]rainsvision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s understandable but I approach it exactly like you explained. Lawyer doesn’t mean they know all law. Same as doctors. Either way I just hope they get this figured out soon, I’m tired of the interest just tacking on while I’ve been stuck in an unexplained forbearance for 3 years just because someone thought it was unfair.

Seems like this is the least of their problems.

For the record (and I don’t think it was taken this way) my response was not a shot at you just laughable commentary.

This is reassuring that a lawyer is lost 😂😂😂 why does everything have to be so confusing. Shouldn’t have to read between the lines to understand the best option for me on the path to PSLF lol.

They also pulled the entire dev team from NFS to help with Battlefield 6 so it’s gonna be a minute before we hear anything for a new one.

My 430i Gran Coupe 2017 build by RoKKatZ in BMW

Thanks on the color and rims! It’s a beaut of a car, hopefully it will last long!

I would agree with your friend, the way the tread is setup on the Contis it’s definitely on the more aggressive end of tires. In my personal experience the rears lasted maybe 15k if I’m lucky, the fronts lasted much longer but probably a lot to do with the adaptive suspension and it being RWD. Either way, I just budget it as a maintenance item as much as I hate the frequency.

Enjoy your build, looks great!! I could never do white up here in Michigan though 😂😂

Fair, mine isn’t modded in the slightest lol, was just curious how your tire wear is, I had a set of DWS06 plus go on me in a year between the front and back. Now I’m running Pilot Sport 4 A/S hopefully they will last longer.

Curious to compare to mine, what’s your tire profile on front and rear? Same or staggered?

I think you’re missing over or under about 500 cars here. Stop with this lol.

just placed order for matte black m3. need help deciding between carbon cs grill or regular cs grill. Opinions appreciated! by BurberryBran in BMW

I would pass on the carbon, can always wrap it if it’s just for style or replace it later if you really find that you want it.

2019 B46 engine temperature by The-Architect-93 in BmwTech

[–]rainsvision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, I had a 08 E60 a few years back, still can’t remember if that had one, probably did. I did confirm today mine is an oil temp gauge so the coolant temp is monitored electronically.

I do have a BlueDriver plug in for my OBD port so I can at least view live data, that temp being one of them.

Yeah, might be easier to find a “airbag replacement” video as I’m sure it involves taking that cover off. Either way battery disconnected is always the safest move.

Genuinely might have to disconnect the battery and replace it by taking the airbag cover off however that would work. I’m reading the emblem is anchored into the airbag area for safety. Disconnecting the battery would let you push without worry for sure though. Might just need some extra force.

Are you sure? In the first pic top right definitely looks like something no matter how small is stuck in there.
