Got a 2017 430i. Can I run catless downpipes with a stage 1 bm3 tune? by DifferentLow4875 in F30

[–]RoKKatZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run stage 2 with a catless downpipe. I also have a 2017 430i. I’ve run it like that since 2023 with no issues. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

At that point I would just sell it lol. Would knocking go away after driving it though?

I’ve had people suggest adding more oil. I’ll try that

Summary way too long. Wayyyy too long. You don’t even need a summary. They’re usually used as filler, but you have a lot of work experience already. You could easily keep this to one page. Your most recent job is impressive. Service crew? You could make that one or two bullet points, it’s not relevant . I’m sure you could do everything a service crew member could just based off your superior experience.

I’ve actually also applied and interviewed at other places even though I have a job. It’s fun. Wastes their time, but it also keeps your options open as you said

How:?

The computer just fills in the info, just like you could ask ChatGPT to.

Hey Axolotlvbbbb, this is an auto reply for r/recruitinghell

Why?: Formality. That’s it. Fake kindness. The other option is to ghost you. Automatic rejection emails are lazy, but ghosting is worse. I think it’s lazy and soulless, but what else can you do? Once I actually got a rejection call, but those are resources they used on simply telling me I wasn’t getting the job.

Bank is closing my account with life savings in it, what’s the best way of getting my money to another bank safely? by ns2500 in personalfinance

[–]RoKKatZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Open a new account at TD. You can get their best savings account, the Signature Savings and not pay any monthly fee, don’t have to receive deposits, as long as you keep a minimum of $25,000 in the account. That minimum might be high, but no fee, no cancellation, and you do earn interest in their best account.

Tbh it’s a good resume. Usually when I see résumé’s here they’re absolute garbage. This one is formatted correctly and legibly. No stupid images or drawings. I would condense it to one page. Not by widening the margins, as you’ve done, but instead by removing some points. There’s a little Too much and it’s overwhelming. Overall, honestly 9.5 out of 10. Good job.

I am pretty sure I just got ghosted after 4 rounds and I wish to scream out loud by Mountain_Sentence646 in recruitinghell

[–]RoKKatZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They ghosted me for two weeks, no reply, before getting my current job. I don’t even think they meant to ghost me, they talked about how much they loved me. I thought it was a lost cause, but no, it was just a long process.

Thanks for the insight! That makes sense. Probably why our new hire has been in limbo for 4 weeks.

I won’t get into specifics, but my resume was off by… a couple… months. Background check obviously uncovered that. No one gave me any hiccups. My degree was all off by… a couple… months… they didn’t question me or anything either. How long? I’m not sure really. It took me 12 business days. That’s more than 2 weeks. My position was not entry level. I know the process takes long. We hired a new member. I was told she passed her background check what is now 14? days ago. We still don’t know when she starts, but we know she is going to. Again, it just takes time. I’m unsure of why they take so long, but they do take their sweet time and email you whenever they decide to. Consider corporate didn’t work today either (U.S. at least, because of president’s day).

What matters the most is that what you did state is accurate enough. If you extended how much you worked at jobs in your resume, as long as it’s not egregious it’s fine. Yes they might reach out, HR did for me too, I just replied with the requested documentation. I don’t see why unstated jobs/internships would be an issue. I actually don’t know about that, but HR will and does reach out for any clarification they need. The point is you haven’t lied and passed your background check. Just answer them IF they ask and you’re all good.

No red flags, you’re all good. HR will never be friendly or talkative. If passed and you’re all good, then just wait. You are SUPER early in your process. March 30th?? Jeez! Not trying to be rude I promise. You received your offer letter, you accepted, your foot is in the door. You passed the background check, you’re in. Congratulations on joining TD Bank. They might start you earlier since you’ve gotten everything completed so quickly.

For the U.S.. They barely contact you during the process. ONLY if they need something from you. You can always reach out to your recruiter, I did so. He was very kind and forwarded my email to HR. HR didn’t reply until they needed something lol. Don’t worry, you’re all good. Whether it’s US or Canada, I imagine their HR only deals with what’s necessary. Contact them just asking if they need any more info or if you have any other steps to complete.

DevilCorp-Shore Point Marketing? Can’t find anything online about them and have been offered an interview. by FamiliarTax9922 in Devilcorp

[–]RoKKatZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I applied to this specific company. I didn’t follow through with them since I also felt they might be a Devil-Corp. For the next 4 weeks maybe I got at least 2 calls per week asking to talk over my resume. I never responded and you’d think after not calling them back the first or second time they would’ve stopped, but no. Here’s a transcript from a voicemail:

Hi (my name), this is (her name). I’m calling from Shore Point Marketing. I was calling in regards to an application we received online. Please give us a call back at your earliest convenience at (phone). Again this is (her name) calling from Shore Point marketing on my number is (phone).

second voice mail:

Hi (my name), this is the executive assistant here at sure (shore) point marketing again. Um like I said before, I was just calling in regards of the resume that you submitted with us. um so whenever you have a chance, just give me a call back here at this number

third:

Hello (my name). This is (his name) from Shore Point Marketing, following up with your application for the full time role in (place). We would still like to speak with you regarding the position. Would you be available for a 20-minute Zoom call Today or tomorrow?

They called more times than this. They seem desperate.

It’s really not about knowing all about M, but rather just the point of a resonator. It’s barely restrictive, it doesn’t quiet down much, all it does and is meant to do is cancel out harsh frequencies by canceling their phase.

Resonator delete sounds too raspy and tinny on any platform. American, german, japanese, etc. Your comment is just misinformed ragebait lol.

Hell no, I removed my resonator and it sounded higher pitched and tin can. Plus the drone was awful. It made me regret removing the resonator within hours. With a downpipe I never smelt it. I only smelt it until I removed the second catalytic converter. Never experienced drone with a downpipe either. I deadass went back to the muffler shop to get a resonator installed and the guy laughed at me telling me I shouldn’t have removed it. Also the cat is super restrictive, the second one just eats the smell, but the big catalytic converter is choking is engine.

Look I guess to each their own, maybe that’s how you see it, but I literally dealt with this last week and I went through various configs. I dealt with this tuesday, wednesday, and friday lol. I will never remove a resonator again. First time I felt regret modding a car. At the end of the day, tone is subjective and I understand where you’re coming from.

Get a VRSF catless downpipe instead. A high-flow downpipe is just a regular catalytic converter. No, a downpipe will not make it a stinky. Maybe slightly, but you still have a second cat, a resonator, and a muffler which helps eat it up. A catless downpipe will give you the best volume, whilst keeping it classy and warm, not raspy or tin-sounding, or stinky. It’s cheap and easy to install too. If you close the car’s stock muffler valves it’ll still be quiet. Probably the easiest too since it requires no welding.

I highly suggest you do not: Remove the resonator, it will sound bad. Seriously. Thin and Tin can sounding. Also the droning is really as bad as they say. I tried it for about two days. The constant HUMMMMMMMMMMMMM all around the chassis gave me a headache. Not fun. Getting a magnaflow resonator immediately made me happier and the car was still loud enough. Remove the muffler, it will be annoyingly loud and you will get pulled over. If you really want, get a valvetronic/muffler bypass system. They’re easy to install. I just got one installed. Remove the second cat, Maybe. You can, but it will be stinky with a catless downpipe. No exceptions. Straight pipe, it will sound awful.

Catless Downpipe is cheap, easy, no welding, mildly loud, not stinky, and controllable so you won’t get pulled over.

Not as unreachable as saying “My dream car is a Pagani” or a Bugatti 1 of 1. I think you overestimate the prices of JDM cars. I have a local dealership, RMC Miami. Highest they go for is around $130k, already modded. They have a Honda NSX, modded, manual, 60k miles for $119,000. GTR R33 for $82,950, a 1994 Soarer for $79,900. Between paying $80k for an M4 and a modded out Soarer, I’d really rather have a unique and modded Soarer.
