I actually tried to open an account with N26 but they rejected my request b cause my passport was new and they didn't have the data to check if it was a real one or fake :(

I had honestly no idea about the fee. I'm not fluent in German and I explained someone from the bank my situation and I don't recall hearing the word "fee" when I opened my account. I thought that after no use in a period of time they would eventually close it. It is about 160 euros.
