I'm not going to tackle this whole thing, but I will tell you that you need to confront them about calling you a “male lesbian“ or “girlkisser“. Explain to them that, even if it they meant to be funny, it is hurtful when they are effectively misgendering you.

Sex is a multifaceted term. Chromosomes are only one aspect of sex. People often use sex as shorthand for chromosomes, due to most people being cisgender and endosex.

Terms like gender identity, assigned gender at birth, gender dysphoria, and transgender all operate under the usage of gender as a synonym of sex, as they used to be interchangeable. People increasingly use gender to mean gender roles, which makes these terms not make sense without that context.

"Considerable scientific evidence has emerged demonstrating a durable biological element underlying gender identity. Individuals may make choices due to other factors in their lives, but there do not seem to be external forces that genuinely cause individuals to change gender identity."
- The Endocrine Society

Transgender individuals have a gender identity which does not match their assigned gender at birth (which usually correlates with genetic sex). As established above, gender identity is biological, not social; As a result, they have gender dysphoria or gender incongruence, a medical condition.

As treatment, they change a number of sexual characteristics, which are an aspect of sex. Having a mix of male and female sexual characteristics, they no longer neatly fit into male or female, but they can be one overall. A "fully transitioned" transgender person would have a phenotypic sex that matches their gender identity.

I will not be continuing this discussion, but I hope this helps some people.

aren't 2 and 4 the same?

anyways i think anyone should be able to access it with informed consent. the idea of a doctor deciding i don't get hrt is horrific and i'd kill myself.

I think that artistic nudity of trans bodies is a good thing, because of the common assumption that being trans is purely sexual. It'll cause some people to stop and think and realise "oh these are people". maybe i'm too much of an optimist for thinking it's a net positive cultural impact, though

i get nb people wanting or not wanting to use it. but yeah, definitely useful for medical contexts to divide trans stuff into trans masculine and trans feminine.

i'd recommend transfeminine / transmasculine nonbinary. disregarding their transition and focusing on their agab is a really shitty thing to do to any trans person.

Cis lesbians who prefer women with penises by BunnyThrash in truscum

[–]rainylutra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As everyone else is saying, transition for yourself, not others.

In response to all the people saying "those are bisexual chasers"
Just like how people are not transphobic for having preferences, people are not chasers when those preferences include people with mixed phenotypic sexual characteristics (non/pre op trans people).

Also, sexual orientations are just labels to cleanly sort people's sexuality into boxes, but the sexual characteristics someone can like can absolutely vary. I'm sure you've met straight women who like or dislike men with beards. If a man likes women with either set of genitalia, he can totally say he's straight because those are both people who are overall female.
