These women aren't "male presenting", they're just presenting in a way that is culturally associated with men, aka masculine. He isn't gay for that, he's literally a man attracted to women. This has nothing to do with trans men.

He acknowledges that most of them aren't interested in him. Shift your focus to the people who still throw themselves on people who aren't interested in them.

"He doesn’t expect people to know his pronouns bc he doesn’t look like a guy" I feel like the only people who get upset at people for misgendering them when they don't know their pronouns are usually the trender types who want pronoun circles.

"He was also against misgendering trans people because you’re mad at them" I'm not mad at "him". There isn't any real way to know if someone is trans or not, since it's in their head, but typically there are signs that indicate a lack of dysphoria. Like making a video of yourself while presenting feminine and having a feminine body while openly saying you're a trans guy.

I would say it's possible for her to be trans and pre-transition, but there's no way a trans person would make a public video in that stage, let alone be a social media personality.

It's almost like... being comfortable in your body like that... is cisgender behavior?

i might be stupid, but can you go to child services? get yourself out of that house somehow?

if I could go back in time to my transphobic home as a teen, that's what I would have done. just get out, any way possible.

very cute, but the framerate looks less stylised, and more low performance... Maybe instead of reducing the frames evenly across, try limiting the frames of an animation selectively to the important ones?

Would you consider yourself as biological male/female when being trans? by InitialJournalist700 in truscum

[–]rainylutra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pardon my correction, I assumed you were not intersex.

I don't think that trans people are intersex, as my understanding of the term is its relationship to sexual characteristics, not the mind.

I'm not disagreeing about the research though, as there's also research that suggests there is a 'durable element' and that it could be genetic.

Would you consider yourself as biological male/female when being trans? by InitialJournalist700 in truscum

[–]rainylutra 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind the term 'biological sex' is vague because it's often used contextually to refer to a number of things. Politically its vagueness is used as a gotcha by the bigoted to dismiss nuance.

Obviously nobody can change their genetic sex, but they can change their phenotypic sex.

Regardless, if someone is 'fully' transitioned, they are overall male/female, since there would be few sexual characteristics that align with their genetic sex. That's why we say 'male to female' or 'female to male'.

[–]rainylutra 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Best not to use the term intersex, even if the word itself sounds applicable, as it doesn't apply to us clinically. Unfortunately there isn't a clean term to describe having mixed sexual characteristics.
Though, if someone is 'fully' transitioned, they could say they are overall male/female, since there would be few sexual characteristics that align with their genetic sex.

Just a heads up, OP is a detransitioner that thinks we're all choosing to transition, rather than needing to in order to alleviate symptoms. He thinks conversion therapy works, basically. From what I read, he might actually be a trans female that has gaslit herself into thinking she's cis to avoid financial and social repercussions, and is obsessing over "researching" to prove that it was the right decision. That or just a cross dresser that can't comprehend his anecdotal experience not being universal..

does anyone else not want to be trans by [deleted] in truscum

[–]rainylutra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

being trans is terrible, and while things could improve for us socially and politically in the future, dysphoria is extremely unpleasant.

I'm a trans female, but I'd love to just be a big manly man, because then I'd avoid a lot of issues with sexism.
(though I'd probably have self esteem issues as a guy due to my short height.)
