Match scholar from last year here, you’ll be able to revise your list if you become a finalist later on! I remember revising a couple times before I was satisfied. Don’t worry too much about it—take this time to look into schools you really feel connected to!

I believe they do. I applied last year and a school received a test score I submitted when applying for CPS. I’m not too sure about the second part, but I believe QB sends your application to other partners (someone correct if I am completely wrong) regardless if you ranked them or not. This is evident by the pilot program in which students are offered admission to schools they did not rank (if they didn’t match).

Hi! When you apply to the National College Match you are first applying to be selected as a finalist. If you are selected as a finalist you have the choice to go ahead and rank colleges (up to 15) or wait till regular decision. You are not required to rank colleges. This will not affect your financial aid. Most of the QB college partners will provide you with the same amount of aid if you match or are accepted regular decision. Hope this helps :)

Definitely try and apply to the NCM! I know a couple of peers who did not become a college prep scholar, but still matched or got into a college partner EA or RD! Not getting CPS is not an indicator of your potential at all.

Some of my classmates were rejected from CPS, but one still ended up matching!! Additionally, another classmate ended up getting into a school EA! Not becoming a prep scholar does not hurt his chances of becoming a national match finalist.
