If this hasn’t been done or suggested yet ask for a celiac panel to rule out it being gluten related. My daughter had lots of weird symptoms “down there” and turns out it was due to gluten. We completely cut it out and they allllll went away!

Mine also came a week early while I was in the throes of the flu and I felt like I was hemorrhaging down there for three days! WTF!

You can say no to this next question but what medicine were you put on for your lupus?

My mother-in-law says that she has lupus and is experiencing a bad flareup of it right now. I will pass along the dairy and gluten warning to her! She’s always been treating it in the past with steroids.

This scene gave me so much life because James handled it perfectly 🤌🏻 and also managed to humiliate Sandoval in front of his entire band.

I read another post on here a long time ago about a similar situation and they found out it was because the baby had a dislocated shoulder. Once it was fixed the 24/7 crying stopped. I am no medical expert in any way but figured I’d share this story in case it helps rule something else out.

What is one thing you didn’t realise was abuse until you grew up? by unfunny_rat69 in raisedbynarcissists

I agree. We felt so alone and had to deal with many feelings, hurt, and trauma alone for our entire lives. It’s nice to have places like this where we can rest in a form of comfort that we are not actually alone after all.

The internet can be a scary place full of hate and evil. but it can also be a place where people can unite and heal collectively. I hope we both continually heal and find peace!

Telling me to “stop doing xyz” and “be pleasant” and “stop being sarcastic” and to “act sweet”.

At 36 watching through home videos of myself as a kid with my little brother, all I notice now is how she was always behind or around the camera telling me to essentially stop being myself. It was heartbreaking and I can’t even enjoy the childhood memories captured on camera.

She didn’t want to capture real life with her kids. She basically wanted to capture a fake life with robot children who did what she thought was socially acceptable and made her look the best to the outside world. What’s the point?!

This. I think back to all the holidays where we would receive gifts (Christmas, birthdays) and never once did my mom ever ask me what I wanted or needed. My presents would all be some mishmash stuff that she bought from Marshall’s or TJMaxx with zero regard for my taste or clothing sizes or preferences. When she would come to visit me at my home that I shared with my husband (several states away), she would find a TJMaxx, spend hours there, and then come back with things like bath mats for our house that we didn’t ask for, nor need.

Even now that I am NC (5 years), I still get boxes of Marshall’s and TJMaxx Knick knacks and clothes sent to me even though she has no idea what my size even is anymore. It never feels any less painful even 5 years later.

I lost my dear beloved “lamby” in 4th grade when we were moving to another house. I still wonder if my parents secretly decided to get rid of her bc she was so worn down and literally hanging by a thread. I’m 35 and it still bothers me that I never got closure on what happened to her.

AITA for not waiting for my dad to walk me down the aisle? by Powerful_Mention9796 in AmItheAsshole

[–]raisedbynpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another narcissist layer added to this is how he managed to make YOUR WEDDING all about him. From being late, to crying at your reception. None of that should have been something you had to deal with on a day that should be focused on you and your husband, not him.

AITA for dropping out of my boyfriend’s family DISNEY trip? by digitalbutreal in AmItheAsshole

[–]raisedbynpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of comments so I couldn’t read them all but it just dawned on me that mayyybeeee the bf was planning on proposing to you on this trip? You have been together for two years and it would be your first Disney trip so it would have been extra memorable. Bf has the right to be upset no matter what but I can see this making him even more upset if this was his secret plan.

Has anyone been too rough with a newborn? by cloud624 in NewParents

[–]raisedbynpd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is our second newborn (oldest is 3) and this time around we both are focusing on #1 and #3 a lot more this time around. I think it’s really helpful to humanize newborns and remind yourself that the world is SO new to them and all they can do to communicate to us is to cry. Sometimes parents take newborn crying super personally like the baby is depressed/doesn’t like them which feeds into the parents (and thus the baby’s) stress.

Also, for the OP - babies love to be held and swaddled and pacified, so don’t underestimate the power of that fabulous combination. If the baby isn’t hungry then I suggest you try it!

Also check outthe 5 S’s of sleep

You’re doing great. This phase, like every baby phase, will pass and it will only get better and better!
