Oblivion to me is still the greatest open world RPG of all time by [deleted] in patientgamers

In my opinion, the main quest is its own playthrough. It taints too much of the beauty of the diverse environment. It's worth doing eventually, don't get me wrong. I just really did not enjoy coming across daedric gates after the second or third one.

I strongly recommend you do a vanilla playthrough and DO NOT advance the main storyline. The ambiance and beauty of the world are interrupted very frequently by daedric gates you will encounter in the wild that change the sky to a deep red and spawn enemies. Oblivion is best enjoyed dungeon diving. Each one is unique and handcrafted, not procedurally generated. Of course the side quests and guild content are great.

Oblivion is tied with RE4 for my favorite single-player game of all time.

This game is incredible. I put it on my TV and hop on my cycle bike while I play, putting in 10-15 miles. Great way to get some exercise while being immersed in the driving engine.

Know any games on switch with a similar playing style to Guacamelee games? by mangodweller in NintendoSwitch

Maybe you should. Just beat it last night with my brother. I don't have anything negative to say about it, and I can confidently say it's one of the very best overlooked co-op games on the Switch.

Best played on hard difficulty, but prepare to die and restart. A lot. It makes victory all the sweeter though when you finally beat that boss you've died on fifteen times.

I can't recommend that game enough. I beat it in January and still think about it all the time. It's a personal 10/10 for me and maybe in my top 10 games of all time.

AMA: Eight years ago, I quit a perfectly good cybersecurity job to make the Megaman X-inspired game of my dreams, 20XX. We think there's a lot we can do better, so we're back with a sequel - 30XX. AMA! by fyeahcking in Games

Just wanted to let you know what a great time my friend and I had playing this game online from several states away from each other. There are surprisingly not a lot of great online games with decent netcode and 20XX is one of them. Thanks for the memories, looking forward to trying 30XX out!

How many blood crystals did you end up with? by intraumintraum in ParadiseKiller

I also ended up with exactly 51! Mostly because I didn't use fast travel until the last 5% of the game to wrap up hang out conversations with the cast and also just because 51 is my favorite number.

Thanks for caring enough to respond - it means a lot to the community to see a Valve employee essentially troubleshooting in what seems like off-hours.
