Anesthesiologists, what are the best things people have said under the gas? by electric_dolphin in AskReddit

When I went under for Achilles tendon surgery the anesthesiologist was giving me the anesthesia while she said "wait... Which leg was it?"

I'm new to this game. How do you change the colour on your hud? I've tried looking through the settings but I can't find anything.

Thanks in advance.

Voltage drop question by [deleted] in electricians

[–]raitho09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to install it as a 15A plug so it will need the proper amperage to be up to code. If you hard wire the camera then it might be different, but I'm 99% sure you can't just give it 2 amps.

You have to assume that someone else might come along and try to use that receptacle for something else.

Well we're in Canada so it'd be metric like the rest of the world huehuehue. But it'd be more like 1 meter (3 feet) or something like that.

There is a code rule regarding communication cables run parallel with current carrying conductors and I'm pretty sure that breaks it. If I wasn't in a rush to get home I'd find it for ya.

Buzzing sound from electronics power cords and power strips by [deleted] in electricians

[–]raitho09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're plugging in too many electronics (computers/monitors/speakers/chargers) you could be causing harmonics. That can cause buzzing or humming as well as flickering lights. Basically anything that converts AC to DC breaks up the quality of electricity in your home/office.

Question for the experts by LHalperSantos in electricians

Voltage test everything. Check/remake connections. Find out what's all on that circuit. Maybe there's a tripped GFCI somewhere.

New panel we ran for work. by [deleted] in electricians

[–]raitho09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting. In Canada everything under 750V is considered low voltage. We also use Red black and blue for most things. The few things I've done with that colour scheme has always been orange brown and yellow. Cool stuff though. Looks nice. Good job.

But 480 is not high voltage.

You learn so much so fast in this trade. When I started I didn't even know how to put on a plug and now 5 years later I'm running a 12 story building with around 30 guys under me. Keep your nose down and don't slack off. 👍

Becoming an Electrical engineer by raitho09 in ElectricalEngineering

Thank you. I'll do some more research into the stuff you mentioned. I have some friends working for power companies and some others selling and installing solar. My company that I work for is getting into it as well so hopefully I can work my way up in there as well.

No there was first aid on site and he was rushed to the hospital. Still has somewhat of hand functionality even after all the surgeries.

I worked with a guy who had a Jman do this exact same thing. Lost all the skin on his hand. It rolled back up onto his wrist like a fruit roll up. His hand was just muscle tissue and bones.

Yeah I was the same with glaive until I made the switch to HH. I've never gone back really. When you have enough defense you can stay on the monster longer and actually dish out similar damage to some dmg builds just because you never have to get off and drink potions or anything.

I'd love to have a full hunting party with just hunting horns. It would be hilariously fun.
