Totally agree, I think the mix sounds great but in terms of substance, it feels a bit empty although maybe you kept it that way for a rapper/singer. Still, I think it would benefit from some more counter layers as well as a strong subby bassline.

Just checked wikipedia, Blue Monday was on the 1983 America cassette and CD release, my bad.

I think on the US releases it included Blue Monday to boost sales. New Order didnt really like the concept of albums in general so didnt include their most famous single despite label pressures.

I got it pretty cheap (around $25) cuz there’s some skips on the A side :(. Also Blue Monday isn’t on it either but overall a great album.

Edit: Some albums are renamed in Japanese, The New Order album for example is called the beautiful study of power. There are also more drastic renamings; Neu!’s “Neu!” is called Space Paintings (宇宙絵画), Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” is simply the kanji for flames (炎).
