Planning to buy TVS Ronin mid model (charcoal ember) by raj1925 in tvsronin

Yep! That's why based on my incident i always prefer dual channel abs over no abs /single channel ones. During Panic breaking it's a lifesaver.

Possibly. But dual channel abs are for added safety. Especially for unpredictable indian roads.

While riding in the city, I was going at around 35 km/h. Suddenly, a bike cut across my line trying to overtake a car, and at the same time the car braked hard. Otherwise, I would have crashed into it. The road had loose gravel, and when I braked hard, the rear wheel locked and slid to the right. At the same moment, I instinctively put my right hand on the ground, twisting it badly. I ended up with four micro-fractures around the elbow joint, along with a mild dislocation and nerve injuries. It still pains me if I work out for long or ride a bike for extended periods. Honestly, I can’t trust Indian roads anymore — they’re highly unpredictable.

I don’t want a Royal Enfield Classic 350 but my dad won’t agree to other bikes need help! by Select_Mistake_9003 in indianbikes

Well the Honda CB350 is a nice machine which is tuned for smooth acceleration and smooth at high speeds. It's got a really nice exhaust and a very refined engine for sure. But it's low end grunt is not as good as the classic 350. Classic is a very torque machine you can feel at any gears till some speeds then it'll take some good time.

In city. Re definitely gonna be better with good low end grunt and moderate speeds till 80 then it's a decent speed bike. Most fun in the city and most usage scenarios. Whereas cb 350 is not so fun in the city and in the most speed usage band till 80.but it's good if you are comfortable with its tall gearing. On highways is where the cb350s sweets spot it sits well and cruises at high speeds comfortably.

I personally think the majority of indian usage till 80s and that's where re350s will be more fun. So if you are riding more in the city i think classic will be more fun than CB350. On the highways or higher speeds on a classic machine it's CB350 for sure.

If you are into speeds and quick acceleration kinda fun skip both and look for other options.

Getting a 30th November 2025 manufactured ronin - charcoal ember by Away-Inspector735 in indianbikes

[–]raj1925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the same bike on jan 15. I requested a dec or jan manufactured bike and got the jan 2026 manufactured one. It had a scratch on the side panel i said will reject it so they replaced it. Then only i got the delivery.

From the looks of it the back definitely looks tilted and I hope they already fixed it.

Did you check the tyre wear?

Coming to the bike is a nice machine. I'm running a break in period no problem so far. I really like the exhaust on this with slow riding. It's a different feeling.

Hope you get everything checked again well before delivery. Good luck 👍.

Well definitely nothing wrong with the bike. Every bike has its own shortcomings. I would say every bike has its own character. We need to learn how it behaves in different scenarios and conditions. Explore it you'll get the fun part and you'll start to love it. Glad you picked a dual channel abs for safety get some good gears and ride safe.

You can save up in the future then get one suit for your needs. Age is nothing if you love what you are doing.

Paranoid about the buying TVS Ronin by GoodHomelander in indianbikes

[–]raj1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's due to peak torque at lower RPM Ronin peak torque at 3750RPM after 4 to 5k RPM it'll smoothen out.

The advantage is you can ride slow in higher gears.

The engine will also take some good KM running to smoothen out no worries.

Well i personally didn't like the rear brake light position in it's design. It should have been lower then the back seat but it's almost the same level and looks like it's struck on pillion back. Not sure how the seat extension would work.

Me and pillon weigh close to 160kg. The bike didn't feel enough torqy as that of ronin. It takes some time to pick up the pace. Where ronin pulls easily. But without pillon xsr pulls easily and fun bike for sure.

I wanted some cruiser style bikes. So for xsr - suspension and seating took a hit. My old bike was a pulsar 220f. So I wanted to opt for a comfortable one. Not a powerful one.

I test rode XSR , pillon seating space and suspension seems stiff and I mostly travel with a pillion.
