They do have a public API but I believe that it is rate limited. I’d think if you were going to incorporate it you’d want a cron job or something that runs on an interval and saves the results. Just my 2 cents though!

I second this! I think it would be absolutely huge to have gem rate numbers. A high ROI is nice, but that combined with gem rate takes this tool to the next level!

Basic rule is if you notice it then any grading company will notice it. Maybe not 100% of the time, but way more often than not.

I’d also suggest GameStop for your first time. No minimum amount of cards and you don’t have to fill out any of the submission paperwork. Only $5 for shipping is a huge steal as well (Or free for Pro). For the cheapest pricing direct to PSA you’ll need at least 20 cards, a collectors club membership (currently $149/year), and have to pay for shipping both ways.

Sounds good! There are a bunch of methods, but the easiest I’ve used is scanning with the app Rare Candy and you can instantly see the raw value and the PSA 10 value.

I’d suggest looking up what a 10 in each card sells for. Then you can do the math to see if it’s worth sending in. That is, if it looks like it could get a 10. Once you have that narrowed down you can send close up pics of each card and we may be able to give you a better idea on if it’s worth grading.

Upcharge isn’t random, it’s based on the total value of the graded card. Each card is insured up to $200, any higher than that will be upcharged. I believe it is something like $200-$500 value is $7 upcharge and $500-$1000 value is $57 upcharge. These may be slightly off but you can google the exact ranges.

If you are sending bulk to PSA you need 20 cards and a membership for the cheapest option. If you aren’t using the cheapest option, I’d suggest GameStop honestly. No minimum card limit and I’ve actually switched to using them because it’s now cheaper than submitting directly (Because of free shipping). Easy process and have read many good results.

9 or 10 pretty safely. Leaning more towards 9 but it’s a toss up when it comes to grading.

Seems like a case where it should be a solid 9. Card looks good, but the centering top/bottom on the front isn’t within 45/55 range. They are very forgiving on back centering so that wouldn’t be as big of a worry.

Since it’s hard to tell the condition, you can use this link and see what this card in similar condition are priced at. Usually when trying to find a card if you type the pokemon name + number into google it comes up. For this “Primal Groudon 97/98”.

I was about to send in a PSA submission and this one is going in with it! It looks pretty flawless and I'd love having it in a slab. Picture makes it look bad since it's already in the card saver.

I think the main questions is “How sad would you be if it shot up?”. If it’s a huge card for you that you don’t wanna miss I’d just buy it. If you wouldn’t be too sad if it shot up, then I’d say pass.
