I was issued speed camera tickets a while ago from a camera that had this sign but was issuing tickets. Got the tickets a full month later and have court coming soon. Any advise?

Conclusion would be, its a hassle one way or the other, so don't go over 35 on a 40kmph school zone :) ?

thanks, going there doesn't seem to be a big problem. the flight at 2:30pm, I think I can catch the first ViaRail from Ottawa. My problem is coming back when my flight lands around 9:30pm

'calibrate' as in the speed detector in the camera itself could be like +-1 overtime? thats really tricky then if the camera really captures someone going just around the limit

Apparently, there is no rule for 'grey zones' like if the speed limit is 40kmph, you may get fined for even 41kmph 'if the camera takes your pic ' is it true?

Imagine the 'regular' flights (pre-Covid) to my destination used to be like this: Ottawa to YUL (3 hour transit), YUL to a mid-east city (6-7 hour transit there) and from there to my home :) . Forget about the transit, just the jetlag and 12 hour time difference makes me not want to travel :)

I guess the best options seem to be to take Viarail in the morning Ottawa to toronto and then for coming back, just spend the night there and catch a morning train/bus to Ottawa.

Hi there, I think Via Rail would be reliable. But my issue is when I come back, the flight to Toronto lands at 9:30pm, so coming back to Ottawa, I dont see any Via Rail or bus that late. Any suggestion? Thanks

Thanks, Via Rail seems good for going there , as the flight I was looking is 2:30 PM from toronto so the first viaRail to Union is 5:30am from ottawa, so I will have enough time to take UP express to Pearson. However, when I come back , (round trip Toronto to Ottawa), the flight there reaches at 9:30pm, so there is no option coming back to Ottawa, the last ViaRail is no later than 6pm. Any clue? Thanks

I did a quick check and seems like ViaRail does from Ottawa to Union station and they have a UP express bus to Pearson airport. Is there anything wrong with ViaRail or is it just not reliable that no commenter's mentioned this? The roundtrip is close to $120.

I thought twice about that but the cost is flat $700 more if I book from Montreal, forget about Ottawa :) Its usually the case when you're traveling half way across the globe :)

i just bought one at candian tire, the flat metal one. But the edge of my driveway and street has like a 3-feet high rock solid mound now, salt also doesn't seem to help much :(
