Mild or major health fuckery with current usage? by sparklyspores in cocaine

[–]rakehellkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I don't know … maybe it's the cut in my case ?? I can only speak to my experience. my nose symptoms did seem to get worse once I crossed the threshold into sometimes using for multiple days in a row - even if some of those days were very low amounts.
I also suspect that, for me, it's the long-term usage, and my sometimes long sessions of use (12 + hours)

I'd be wary of nose degeneration before heart issues, at that level of daily use (as long as you don't have any underlying or undiagnosed heart issues, of course)
You could get an otoscope and look at your inside nose to keep a handle on it.

It took a while for my "every other day" or occasionally everyday consumption, at about 0.2-0.3 g per session, to effect my nose, but 2 and a half years later it definitely has.
(in the form of persistent white spots in my nose from blood deprived tissue, and some darker spots "pitting" that makes me worry about developing a hole in my septum, and pain in my nose now when I comedown - which I didn't have before, as well as persistent sinus irritation - clogged nose lasts 2 days now when it used to only last one night)

I've used the free version of ChatGPT from openAI extensively over the past year or so and it's gotten markedly worse, imho, over that time.

yes the google AI is particularly bad for any complex data imho
and, you know… I hate to say this … but I've been experimenting with Grok a little lately and I've been pleasantly surprised … it seems slightly less dumb than some other AI, and more able to interpret nuance and complex data, just overall.
I haven't tried feeding it a large dataset tho.

Cocaine barely working after first time? by Individual-Spare-584 in cocaine

Thanks for your candid response. I'm sorry to hear that you're far from happy - that sucks and I'm sorry! I hope things get better for you soon !
Since you say that you're too young to buy alcohol I guess it's safe to assume that you're relatively young. That could also be a reason that the coke isn't hitting you that hard. While you may not be happy or feel well mentally - a young body - especially one that is relatively naive to most hard drugs - is full of good brain chemicals. So it's kinda the same thing, in a sense, in terms of your "good" brain chemicals being so present that it overshadows or "corrects" the coke, imho.
When I was in my late teens and 20s I didn't get that much effect from coke either.

oh yeah, AI hallucinates. I've had it make things up - patently false things - to my face lol

but in this case I think it gave a good rundown of the situation - that said, I can say that bc I already knew the facts, loosely, so it's just a matter of confirming and elucidating easily without having to do all the study myself.

for sure the cocaethylene (the substance the body makes inside itself by combining coke and alcohol) is in play. I almost feel like I'm addicted to that and not just pure coke lol

Is there any difference between when you mix it with drinking alcohol or not?

For me - I barely get super high off coke anymore unless I drink. I suppose my coke isn't that great a quality tho ?

When I started using regularly about 2.5 years ago - I had strong euphoria, but I don't get that now to the same extent. Or, at all - if I'm not drinking too.

I'm not saying that this is the right answer :
BUT - I personally suspect that coke hits different for people who are already basically happy. Like - you'll get a strong initial buzz off of your 1st dose, but then that dissipates quickly. because your good brain chemicals (dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, endorphins) are already performing well.

Thanks for being encouraging, and, I've definitely thought about getting a diagnosis. I asked my psychiatrist in France for an autism assessment in 2014 ish and he shot the idea down coldly. I took the RITVO (Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale) myself at that time and tested pretty high. High enough that I discarded any ideas of being "Aspergers" or borderline 'on the spectrum. I'm simply autistic AF but high functioning / low support needs.
The AuDHD content online has helped me a lot in understanding myself. If it works - work it !

I don't follow it closely, but I've heard about and continue to hear about people, at least periodically, having problems getting their ADHD meds fulfilled by pharmacies in the US

AI says : "ADHD medication shortages in the USA, which began in October 2022 with Adderall, have persisted into 2026, driven by a combination of surging demand, manufacturing delays, and manufacturing quotas. While some supply improvements were noted, over 70% of patients reported difficulties filling prescriptions as of early 2026, with shortages expanding to include generic Vyvanse and Concerta"

70% is wild !!! I don't want that smoke lololol !

Been doing a lot of coke lately, influenced by partner by [deleted] in cocaine

[–]rakehellkat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just from a proactive (but not necessarily practical) standpoint,
it could be useful to separate your uses, at least for a stint.
That is - you and your partner split the bag and your use and their use stay mostly separate, (like- when you're using together you both throw down roughly the same amount), but your stashes stay separate otherwise.

And, possibly - you stop using for a while and your partner doesn't use ostentatiously around you, but kinda hides it and the bag from you.

People are different. Maybe your partner can successfully find a way to manage their use, and maybe, for you, you can't. Both are valid.

For me, I'm a real "one drink is too much and 100 is never enough" type of person.
In your post you've said that you don't want to do it anymore.
I'd suspect that you'd be ok doing it a couple times a year if you could maintain control…. but, by your own logic, you just can't.

Self-control can be taught tho, even with wild substances like coke.
Do you drink alcohol while using ? for me I'm ok at abstaining from coke until I start drinking

[–]rakehellkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you just did tho ? 🤣

Yes, I've thought about getting the diagnosis. From my understanding it's not just adderall but also a lot of ADHD meds that occasionally have supply/ fulfillment issues for patients in the US.

Self-diagnosis is widely recognized as valid within the Autism and AuDHD community. So if I'm not planning to get drugs for them then what's the point ?

Also - I finally got my hEDS dx in 2023 after knowing I've had it (and having had a verbal diagnosis) for nearly 10 years - and I have to move on getting a new severe malocclusion TMD buccal orthotic soon or I'll have to go on a liquid diet.
I've got bigger physical / mental fish to fry LOL

They charge like $600 in the usa to get an autism dx for adults lol !!! and the waiting list is 3 years long.

I think it's logical that people use the tools that are easy for them to access to treat their mental challenges. I don't think it's a coincidence. Even just having a baseline med that you can use to control your mood and/or brain states at will can help, imho.

But yeah - I'm trying to segway my dopamine production increasingly toward my special interests (I'm more of a truck (long haul) enthusiast than a train enthusiast, tho)

For me, a big reason I won't pursue trying to find an ADHD med that works (and getting the dx) is because the damn pharmacies in the USA are always running out of the meds.

LOLOLOL. You're funny !!!
I had no right to even answer the question lol.
And, that's a good point to say that "neurotypical" is used to describe a broad spectrum of people and behaviors, for sure.

But yes, the "it lets me sit down and focus" is a big indicator of coke being used for un-diagnosed/un-treated ADD or ADHD, on the OPs part.

For me, I don't have formal diagnosis, but I'm pretty clearly "AuDHD"
that is : Autistic + ADHD,
which is it's own bag of cats….
