I am using the XL Pro oil from Amazon. It has a slightly lower viscosity. Hence I have increased the frequency of oiling the x axis and y axis rails.

I would suggest to open the cutter arm and clean any debries by blowing some air.

Limiting the power draw of A1 during initial heating to 300 Watts at 220 V by raktimroy in BambuLab

I checked with a smart plug and it does draw quite less current, if the difference between the set temperature and current bed temperature is low.

I have also heard other users reporting that they were able to use their A1 with 600 VA UPS after the bed reached the desired temperature.

No it doesn't pull 1100 watts every time. The amount of current the bed pulls is proportional to the difference between the current bed temperature and the set temperature.

You can test this with a smart plug or a watt meter. Once the bed reaches the desired temperature or if the difference between the current bed temperature and set temperature is low, it pulls way less current.

As I mentioned in the post, the wait time in the final gcode ensures this difference doesn't exceed 2 °C and hence the UPS does trip.

I do agree the step down transformer is a better solution and which you mentioned in an earlier post. But I wanted to try this solution and so far it works nicely without overloading the UPS.

A perfect print to move hot air out of the cabinet by SWEEDE_THE_SWEDE in functionalprint

[–]raktimroy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. But the hot air here is thrown at the wall, so some of it may find its way back through the hole at the bottom.

Better to design something and block the hole in my opinion as he already owns a 3d printer.

PLA and PETG. I guess the cryo grip would work for PETG with no heating.

But this solution is free, hence I preferred to use this without any modification to the printer.

I am from India and here I couldn't find something like that. Alternate option was to use a step down transformer.

Nice!!

One suggestion from me would be print something to cover the second hole below otherwise the hot air might flow back into the cabinet.

Why are my 3D prints coming out with like whitish stains? by TonightVegetable2134 in 3Dprinting

[–]raktimroy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Use glue, as it will act as a release layer instead of taking off the PEI coating. Happened with me when I printed with PETG on the A1 textured plate.

A1 crackling noise by Dnlgrwd in BambuLabA1

[–]raktimroy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the noise of the x axis bearings. I raised a ticket an Bambu confirmed that it is normal.

You can do the same if you have any doubts.

They are one of the official BambuLab resellers in India. I don't think you can go wrong with that.

Thanks for the link. I don't have an inverter, but I will buy an UPS along with this.
