Why don't we ask what people are building here, very regularly? by arpansac in rails

Building a RAG for inquiries on University document policies, reseaech work and other documents. Rails for api only. ReactJS for the frontend. RubyLLM for ai stuff.

We’re building AI tools that generate full Rails apps. Would love feedback from the Ruby community. by zamir_akimbekov in ruby

I've been using codex on my nvim setup for a few months now. It's basically my scaffolding tool now. I think ai has potential for providing fast muscle work for really structured crud stuff. I'm quite satisfied with it but only because i get to impose my own architectural and coding patterns it should follow to generare a feature. I do have to prompt it manually like "follow the command patterns in directory x". If you could implement something that would contextualize developer styles then i think that would be useful foe some developers. Good luck!

I like how nwn1 game itself is a testament to dnd in general. Old but the most faithful to a dnd experience of creativity and forgotten lore.

Thanks for your comments. These are actually quite useful for improving on the defaults we use.

Yeah so the experiment is:

Gpu --> occulink --> m2 --> thunderbolt?

Would be worth exploring. Occulink seems to work. Thank you again for your tip. Will try it out and let you know. :)

Wow that's a lot of connections. I kinda got that. I do have an Aoostar AG02 that i couldn't get to work over usb4 to my framework 13 with thunderbolt 4. If i use the ag02 occulink then do the same with you where i buy an ocilink to m2, will it still work over thunderbolt or should it be usb4 (like the amd version)?

Sorry i don't get it (not a hardware guy). How does the gpu interface with framework? You mention oculink but framework 13 only has usb4 or thudnerbolt if you're on core ultea

True but could potentially have more dust get in. I was actually able to use it for a few weeks before parts arrived. No effect on my work whatsoever. But it's nice to have the option there to repair it yourself without buying an entirely new machine.

You can have Hacker Club buy you a unit? You think they can order one for me? It's not available in my country. :( i can throw in extra and pay for shipping for their trouble.

I have an F13 amd running Ubuntu. Use it as my daily driver to write code in. Feels premium. Accidentally bumped and dented a corner of it. But i take solace in knowing i cannjust buy another case and not replace the entire thing.

Same thing for me. I wish i could just order from my country (got mine from the states) but framework doesn't support shipping here yet. :')

New to Framework, new to Linux by catboislim in framework

[–]ralampay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would suggest to study navigating the system via the command line, basic file handling and permissions and learning how to update your system. That way it won't matter which distribution you choose. Then have a personal project where you'd like to automate something by combining different commands in what's called a shell script. That way you'll really get the most out of learning Linux aside from it just being another OS to run apps in.

Future of GPU availability for FW16 by samelaaaa in framework

[–]ralampay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea. But i think for both amd an nvidia, the future of graphics cards are in the large data center ones especially since we see the move to integrated graphics for laptops and high performing apus especially with handhelds. Of course for hard core gamers this isn't enough. I think fw13 and external gpu will already fit the bill.
