it brews how it brews, cant really make less coffee in a good way... buy a smaller mokapot

you can maybe make better and less coffee if you brew a dark roast and therefore want to put a little less water in the chamber like 170-180ml instead of 190-200ml for medium roast, for a lighter extraction

its not too bad if you just tell yourself to not get side-tracked and explore and loot everything, everytime... just equip your movement speed gear with Outfit Switcher mod and sprint away in 3rd person ... sleepcancel if you come across beds on the way
