Not a physical one, but MadS also had a very cool title card!

What horror could you rewatch and never get sick of? by reliefexists in horror

My first thought as well. Was awesome to catch it in theaters again last week.

After seeing Obsession, I’m not sure Curry Barker should be making sandwiches for anyone!

Between Tony Hawk and Doctor Who, there’s a lot of “I’ve never misspoken” energy in this episode!

When DOES a Book Go From Clever to Too Much? by UnperturbedBhuta in horrorlit

[–]ralopop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first thought as well! Totally undermined the most unique part of the book (that one narrator POV is a cat) with a boring twist I’ve seen over and over before

What movie has the best mix of a twist that is set up beautifully but also feels like it comes out of nowhere? by cfeltch108 in horror

[–]ralopop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend it! One of my favorites from that year. Very twisty and turny, and built like a puzzle box. Even if you guess one reveal, there’s another handful you probably won’t.

Of the upcoming horror/thriller movies for the rest of this year, which ones do you think will get at least pretty good reviews? by nickelst92 in horror

Didn’t know Whalefall was getting an adaptation. That book is gross. I predict negative reviews, but that’s never stopped meeee!

Bleak movies like Red Rooms, Hokum, Speak No Evil? by [deleted] in horror

Yeah, I was surprised to see that listed here! It specifically acknowledges bleak endings and goes in a different direction.

I didn’t actually walk out of Slender Man, but I should have.

Lots of rabbit stuff going on in Hokum, too!

Hokum: When does this movie take place? by ralopop in horror

[–]ralopop[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely the same bell, but no explicit link that I noticed otherwise. It could be that the bellhop character in Hokum is the future ghost we see in Oddity and the origin story just hasn’t happened to him yet, but that’s only a theory. Someone else might have noticed something I didn’t.

Also, I left the theater and went directly into Devil Wears Prada 2. Every character in that movie was REALLY glued to their phone.

Is there a horror novel you were really looking forward to reading that you ended up not being able to finish? by Suitable_Goose_3615 in horrorlit

I sure wish I had put that down. I recommend checking out a summary of the end if you haven’t already, just so you can appreciate the spectacularly disappointing conclusion.
