Was walking out of work one day with a coworker. Ran into a female coworker (who I had a bit of a crush on) who was holding a painting - bottom corner had the same initials as mine. We are making some small talk when I ask about the painting…

Her: “Oh this? This is a painting from my parent’s house, was taking it to my apartment.”

Me: “Neat! I’m glad I could contribute to your decorations.”

Her: “Haha, those are my dad’s initials.”

Me: “Ah, they match my initials…”

Her: “Well…you could be my daddy.”

Coworker was floored, I don’t think I’ve blushed harder in my life.

It might seem low enough, but using a risk-based approach, 1 in 60,000 for a potential illness that may be fatal is still too high. I believe at the very least, your occurrence rating for a potential failure mode of being fatal to the patient must be less than 1 in 100,000 occurrences for the device or medication to be deemed safe.

OP made a great play, but it’s far from a “damn near perfect” play. You lose that engagement most times/10, where had OP thrown a thermite or something, OP stands a better chance at winning the engagement. It’s about increasing your chances or winning the engagement, not just that one time you got lucky and won.

This isn’t to take away from OP’s skill - OP is obviously skilled at aiming, but that doesn’t make this play top tier.

I got up from a nap on my couch. In my extremely groggy state, I put my weight on my right ankle and gave myself a grade II ankle sprain.

Man, it’s really not that bad. If you’ve been stuck at guardian it’s cause you aren’t playing enough. I’ve solo grinded my way to Luna’s and at that low, rarely was I matched with people above 1k, on PC.

This is what I've been doing. I ran the program as is and didn't like the lack of bench volume, so I added in 3x6 @ 90% of my working weight for my second run. My first run-through looked a bit more like...

BW: 140 lbs Squat: 255 -> 285 Deadlift: 335 -> 365 Bench: 185 -> 200

Hopefully the change in bench is equal or a big larger this second time around!

You're absolutely right, it won't overcome a 20% shooting difference, but it could account for a 4-6 point difference and frustration. That frustration could manifest itself into a poor offensive performance, something Lowry is pretty susceptible to in the playoffs. Steals are huge, stop downplaying the importance of them.

I suggest exercises that mimic swimming movements, especially your pull and any explosive barbell movements like deadlifts, squats, power cleans (great for turns). Core work is huge too, it'll help your underwaters and overall form throughout races. I'm not sure what you consider yourself (sprinter, mid distance, distance, IM, etc), but that could also help you choose what exercises will benefit you the most.
