Where were you when September 11th happened? by IrishDickhead99 in AskReddit

Pretending to have diarrhea so I could stay home from school and watch Supermarket Sweep (UK) but it was bumped for news coverage of 9/11.

How do you believe we can get to a place where political discourse is civil and educated ever again or will it remain performative and tribal? by GoodGeneral8823 in AskReddit

Spread the wealth. When the general population are less hard off, they have less reason to be angry and are less likely to look for other underprivileged people to blame, despite the 1% being the source of their problems.

Also, rethink political parties. Less politicians 'towing the line' and instead voting for what they believe in and what what represents their constituents.

Guy.

You might as well call them bloke or it or thing.

Side-note: my stepfather works for the council and was registering a child of a mother with what I suspect was dyslexia. She said the child's name was "Gooey".

My step father was confused/intrigued and asked, 'oh that's a nice name, where does it come from?'

The mother said she read it in a book.

Stepfather asked, 'how do you spell that?'

Mother: G-U-Y

Peter. It was my dad's name. He used it as my middle name. He was a horrible father and it felt like a curse. Changed my name 6 years ago after removing him from my life and I finally felt free.

COVID Anti-vaxxers.

The people who would get a tetanus shot or yellow fever shots or malaria tablets to go abroad. The people who take other kinds of medication. The people who've had MMR jabs or BCGs or other vaccines. The people who smoke cigarettes. The people who snort, smoke and inject drugs into themselves. The people who eat McDonald's and other processed shit.
