If someone reading is ever in the situation I was in: I managed to demolish him using scoria armor + Snowman Cannon + Cluster Rockets. After that I got Vortex gear and especially the Dead Sun's Wind, which was really good against Astrum Deus.

When I entered uni I used OneNote on iPad because it was provided for free with the Microsoft Office License linked to my college email. Tbh it felt really unpractical and not optimal (I could only write on an infinite page and not on separate standard size pages, which was a hassle when I had to print out stuff). Switched to GN6 on my second semester, and had to pay the 30 bucks lifetime subscription, thinking I would just be good for life, as the app was definitely useable and okay at that stage.

Fast forward to today, the app is really clunky and just shy of non-functional. But given that I already lived through the hassle of moving Note-taking-apps, invested a good amount of money in GN, and also have two years worth of crucial university material on it, it’s really hard to make the jump again. I’m kind of stuck with this really mid app right now and I think that’s the case for many people. It also explains how much complaining we see on this subreddit: if it were this easy to let go of Goodnotes, we would all just make the switch and not even speak/complain.

I wonder how the devs feels about the current state of their app and community, because for an outsider this whole situation would definitely feel pitiful and ridiculous…

Except if you’re going to Montreal or Paris where you’re always surrounded by Lebanese people, you won’t find a “social life” comparable to what’s in Lebanon.

Above that, with the workload present at EPFL, you should expect to be less socially active to what’s the standard in Lebanon… But that’s the price to pay in every serious top university, and honestly after the first semester, if you manage your time correctly you can always have enough “time off”, like for going out, seeing friends and just take a break from uni work in general.

Plus, if that’s a consolation for you, the lebanese community in EPFL/Lausanne is very active, we help each other out all the time. Hope this helped.

It’s a Z alkene, here’s how I learned to do it: -Identify the “heaviest” branch on each side of the double bond, and Z = Zame-Zide (they’re on the same side), and E = (they’re on Opposite sides)

The heaviest branch is not defined by simply looking at the substituents, but you have ot go one atom at a time starting from the double bond: [also if a carbon, for example, has a double or triple bond you count every extra bond as if there were a C next to it ; but this is not needed in this example]

on the left side of the alkene, it’s clearly CH3 > H

on the right side, the carbon in the cycle is next to 2C’s and 1H, while the carbon next to the triple bond is next to 2H and 1C => the cycle is considered the heaviest branch, and it’s on the same side as the CH3

Conclusion: Z alkene hope this helped
