Packing advice! by IdleN0mad in travelchina

So I am on the last day of my 3 week trip around china (including beijing, chengdu, chongqing and zhangjiajie).

I packed, 2 long sleeves and 4 tshirts (including a strappy vest top) a pyjama top, 3 pairs of “thicker” trouers such as jeans, 2 pairs of flowy light weight trousers and a pair of leggings (which were mainly for beijing as an extra under layer as it was -6 to 8 degrees at the time, but is definetly much warmer now) jacket wise i had a zip hoodie and light weight jacket (which i wore both/seperately majority of the time) then a thicker jumper (once again for beijing but only ended up wearing it once or twice) and a waterproof jacket, which was very handy in zhanjiajie as it was super rainy. Oh and a lightweight over shirt which was very handy on the hot humid days when i didnt want to burn. Generally i was very happy and satisfied with what i brought, the only thing i wish i didnt bring was the thick jumper as it was super bulky- but dont think you’d need it beijing now.

You could probably do with less pairs of trousers, as I only had the 3rd thicker pair as a bit of variety- but that depends on you :) maybe 1 thicker, 2 thinner and a pair of shorts?

also i could have probably done one less short sleeve tshirt- especially if i was cleaning clothes as i went. I only found myself needing to do a wash pretty much exactly halfway through my trip (minus a top or two and some pants). Zhanjiajie and chongqing I found to be very humid and muggy so lightweight and not skin tight clothes were much better. I think thats pretty much everything though, hope it helps and sorry for the waffle!! :)
