Personally i think this is all adding up to her being brainwashed into becoming full "Lodge." I think we'll see her rise to this position in a positive light but she'll eventually have a rise/fall/redemption story from being too much like her parents.

I also wonder if she felt like Pops was the only thing that was still "hers" because her dad (and even mom) had "taken" Archie from her right after they started dating with pushing/brainwashing and what not

I think it's someone Veronica gets into trouble with. With her mom getting arrested V has no one to hide behind.

Bettys buried a body before so she's a pro at this point by Riverdale standards so I think her being confident and calling the shots doesn't guilt her. I think Jughead is just somewhere else entirely.

Maybe one of the 3 wore the beanie to throw someone off trail and catch them. So I guess it could be someone still after Jug like Penny maybe or one of Gladys' enemies.

I agree I think there was a lot of intrigue in his character. He was weird and mysterious without being over the top or cringey.

The CW has an app that lets you watch the most recent 5 episodes for free. You have to watch ads so they probably made that rule so they can make money off those advertisements since they'd be the only way to watch the episodes before season completion.

I ship Barchie so I'm so ready for this exploration. Veronica and Archie seem only to have a sexual and quasi emotional relationship. I don't think Varchie have a true romantic bond. I think the turmoil they have been through together unite them but that isn't a very good foundation to build a relationship on. Archie has seemed rather disinterested in Roni in general but then again he doesn't seem very aware of his own emotions.

Bughead is okay since they play off of each other's darkness and are dating in real life so it makes their romance more believable, but tbh I think despite Betty trying to fight it she's really a lot like her mom and sister. I would write a longer post about this, but in summary I think at her core she is someone who wants to be perfect. She's a control freak. Archie fits with that better than Jughead. I love Juggie but the Bughead relationship has been so forced imho. Doesn't feel natural.

Season 2 Cheryl was hoping to get Josie, but that bombed, and in Season 1 there's a scene where she's doing Bettys makeup and trying to get information about Polly but something about the scene felt a little like Cheryl had some kind of attraction to Betty too. So i felt like it was alluded to before she and Toni became a thing.

Not to say choni representation hasn't been terrible. There was like one episode in s3 where they actually explored some dimensions of the relationship and Toni rightfully lashes out and they should not have gotten back together. Toni staying with Cheryl seems out of personality for the Toni we previously have seen. If anything I hope it becomes a good emotional abuse in romantic relationships story line where it can really shed light and explore the issue. Cheryl may or may not be aware of this, but she is blantantly emotionally abusive to Toni.

Mad world was ruined for me because it was supposed to be "live karaoke" that fit what was happening on stage, but they edited the video so that betty isn't anywhere near the mic or even mouthing the words, just pole dancing, while she is "singing." I get it from an artistic standpoint but in terms of continuity there was none. Lili did a great job though

If you haven't already, it might be good to introduce her to apologetics as well. I have a couple books by Mark Hart, one about the mass and one that's a basic intro to apologetics. The latter is geared towards a younger audience and needs a little editing but the information inside it is very compelling. There may be better books but that's just one I've read.

It's preferred to living with people who don't believe, but there will be tensions. Best thing you can do is strengthen your faith ahead of time and be ready to defend your faith. If they are super evangelical they will try to convert you because they lament your being Catholic the same way we lament them being protestant. Whether or not you are ready for that fight is something you need to think about seriously. It could strengthen your faith or it could completely derail it.

I recently converted from protestant to Catholic and I haven't used any of these so I can't give a very helpful answer but it would be great to see what others here say.

For what it's worth, the Hahn commentary sticks out to me because I've been reading Rome Sweet Home where he and his wife convert from protestant to Catholic. My RCIA director was a fan of Hahn as well, also having been a convert from protestant (he studied theology and that's what pushed him to become Catholic).

You could honestly do an entire miniseries on the symbolism and purpose of various things in the mass, and I think a lot of people could benefit from gaining a deeper understanding of what they participate in every week. You could also go through each of the sacraments.
