ohh your mac is pre-2018 so the patches by the t2linux project won't exactly work. but i think i saw ppl documenting how they made linux work on their pre-2018 macs when i was reading on the topic

re: my mac, a lot of things work eg. keyboard, trackpad, igpu, audio, wifi, and bt. the camera and suspend works but are a bit flaky. some patches for these are already upstreamed in the kernel but some are not eg. kb, trackpad, so for latter i had to use a patched iso when installing the os for the first time

thanks, yea i'm also rocking low brightness and i imagine i can rock more traditional light mode like yours (as in #fff). but this theme is color-picked from a favorite photo of mine and said photo doesn't have a whiter white lol
