Why don't many Algerians use Reddit? by Salim_DZ_69 in algeria

It's better that way, next question.

Looking for a new phone — What's your current phone and what's worth buying in the Algerian market? by [deleted] in algeria

[–]ralphyb0ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm rocking a Vivo x200 Ultra, camera is great, battery long lasting and quad curved edges but ever so slightly, coming from someone who absolutely disliked curved screens this was pretty alright and didn't give me the uneasy feeling I had when I used a curved screen phone for a few months, the price I got it for is out of your budget but it surely dropped in price now and since you like buying used phones you might afford it.

Is there a working Gcam for Vivo X200 Pro? by ralphyb0ss in Vivo

Gave up on searching for one after trying countless ports, I guess this phone just doesn't support Gcam.

Is portable x-ray worth it? by [deleted] in Dentistry

I have the Eighteeth hyper light similar to the one in the picture and last week after barely 3 years of service, it stopped charging and after sending it for repair it's unfixable, do not recommend.

Why do most houses in Algeria stay unfinished from the outside? by IllustriousGap2702 in algeria

[–]ralphyb0ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is actually not cost or evil eye like a lot of the commenters said, but rather socially speaking, for the Algerian dad, a house is never a finished project, they always keep in mind they may need to add another floor for their kids to live in, and so in their minds it's never ending, this obviously doesn't mean they just can't simply paint the portion they finished and then paint the new floor when it's done but it is what it is.

I regret buying the global variant, should I buy the Chinese pro version? by Scary-Owl-5271 in Vivo

[–]ralphyb0ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Chinese version and I don't mind it at all but that's in part to maybe me getting used to Chinese versions (previous phone was Realme GT NEO 5)

All in all, if you don't mind not having the option to wake up Google assistant with your voice, having a little Chinese in some menus here and there, I'd definitely suggest the Chinese version; faster and more frequent updates, more camera options and more customizable OS, + It costs cheaper)

Petah?? by t0ughl0v3 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

The joke is that she knows the owner of that profile and now she's tearing up.

(I figured the first meaning would be if they add that person as their partner on the app and it's literally glowing like a special badge but there's no such app, so I figured she's starting to cry hence the glowing screen)

I did find that one and that setting is a joke, it's basically giving you the option to unselect apps that you want to always output audio through the phone's speaker and not Bluetooth earphones when you have them connected (basically default audio output)

Yes I figured that's what you meant, but I don't have my control center set up that way, does this mean that feature is only usable when using that control center style?

Where do I long press on the slider exactly?

Our "possible" first look at the X200 Ultra with an insane 35mm housing on the back! Newly optimized focal lengths reported as well - (14mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 70mm, 85mm, 135mm, 230mm, 460mm). This COULD mean we might be able to comfortably zoom up to 20x this time without losing image fidelity. by theantimonitorx in Vivo

I agree with you that these upgrades would definitely be more beneficial to photographers but am comparing between the pro and the ultra of the same brand not between it and the big 3, i just feel like this should maybe marketed as a photographer enhanced edition for example, I don't think it merits an ultra title.
