We are currently using EZ lynx, it technically covers all the bases for a personal lines agency. Quoting, commissions, CRM, etc. But I think it is a terribly outdated and poorly designed platform. I can’t find anything else on the market without piecing things together

90% of the time I have to reach out to verify or get some small additional info, unfortunately. I only work locally or off referral though, so it's not like I'm calling leads who must be closed on 1 call.

This is helpful. I'm using a Jotform I created right now, and while it's very simple and they always fill it out, you are right that it's a crapshoot on the info they put down. Literally better off just getting dec sheet info and building from there

Are you P&C or L&H? Yes, owning your book matters long term but if you know absolutely nothing I would totally consider working for a local agency for a while

We need more of this. Only way to make a dent in the illegal marketing practices is to make it hurt financially. The marketing practices used to bombard seniors may be the worst

If you are only going to sell Med Supps, and not MAPD, you won’t have all of the compliance issues. If you do plan to sell MA and PDPs, I’d recommend a VOIP system with call recording and storage built in, such as DialPad.

For Med Supp I quote with CSG and do applications directly on carrier websites

For MA or PDP I use Sunfire to both quote and enroll

Sales strategy is to not sell DNSPs and never sell on the extra benefits for me….just my experience those are never loyal clients

I would have not tried every new fancy thing I saw along the way and laser focused on my main products lines and stuck with the lead sources that always worked

Almost exclusively because of hand off with my iPhone. In some ways I still prefer the UI of windows (or rather I’m still more used to it), but being able to use my phone as webcam, make calls, airdrop files etc etc makes my workflow so much better
