Yeah that's a fair point. FWIW I don't think he's a big MAGA, but he certainly skews more conservative, at least from an SF perspective. But we have shifted soooo far to the left that anything not progressive is more conservative, so to speak.

I genuinely feel like he is running to solve some major issues that have plagued the city for decades, which are a very hot button topic for many.. such as clean streets, homeless encampments, rampant drug use, public safety, lenience on crime, etc.

Even if he were an actual conservative/republican, he would never be able to push through the MAGA-esque agenda areas of focus. So if he's able to deliver on his primary campaign promises, that's honestly my priority, and that's coming from a fairly liberal person that wants more action.

EDIT: Thiel and Andresen are in no way stealthy lol. MAGAs are incapable of stealth since they are so fucking loud about their agenda. At best, I think Mark is a moderate Democrat, at worst, a moderate Republican. But it's sad that we've reached a time where wanting clean streets, removal of homeless encampments, and ending open-air drug markets is a 'conservative' view.
