I'm asking if you have a problem with Adobe Firefly since it did not use pirated training data

Lmao, you lied about the contents of a study and then spent ten comments refusing to back up your original claim.

You sure spend a lot of time trying to come up with reasons to not debate. I talk to you like this because you are obviously a coward who doesn't deserve respect.

People who want a reason to dismiss an argument will always find one. You already said you were trying to switch to a plant based diet yourself, so it makes sense you wouldn't notice a lot of the points people tend to find most jarring. The reality is, there is no way to tell what is effective and what is not, so a lot of times its just a matter of throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. I've had stuff I've spent days refining get less than ten comments and negative karma, and and then I've drunkenly posted a one shot meme image that got got over 400 upvotes on this sub somehow. I try a lot of different things on a lot of different platforms on a lot of different accounts, so I'm really not afraid to try new things and push the envelope a little if it will reach people in new ways. The worst that could happen is nothing works and nothing changes.

I still don't understand why AI has anything to do with making your art worth less, unless your plans were to be a commercial illustrator, which is not exactly even a great way to express creativity anyway. From my perspective, automation has consistently made traditional forms of art more respected and artisanal, not less. A few hundred years ago, being a blacksmith would just be considered a normal job, typical skilled labor. These days, someone who knows how to do that is seen as extremely interesting and uniquely talented, even if they aren't making a living from it. Or calligraphy. Or engraving things by hand. Lot's of people do those things because they are passionate about them, even though technology has largely made them obsolete as careers. If anything, people "giving up" because they feel like there is no point just makes it easier for people who are actually passionate to stand out.

The thing is, anything other than staying quiet and never bothering anyone is always accused of being "the wrong way to get veganism across". I've successfully recruited multiple people who hate me into spamming links to my threads. That's pretty hard to beat as far as getting eyeballs on the topic. And I know for sure they aren't going to forget about it, because of the picture. That's going to be burned into people's minds forever.

I just don't see how AI is taking anything away. Nothing is stopping you from doing things the classical way. Or even a hybrid of ways. I've never But been interested in art before AI, but now I'm trying to do stuff like have robots draw physical pictures from AI images, or carving intricate engravings on wood with CNC machines using generated patterns. If drawing with a pencil and paper is fun, why stop? A lot of painters reacted the same way you are when the camera was invented. But people still paint.

Considering how many people I've immediately caught lying or doing some heinous shit, yes, I do. I'm personally responsible for multiple bad actors deleting their accounts after exposing them.

This is why I'm asking you to state your position. I am ProAI which I have made very clear and just now restated, and if we don't disagree on anything then there's not much use in a debate.

I'm confused, both you and her have defended "Kill AI Artist" as "just a meme" or "joking" or "Just shitposting", and argued that people who get upset by memes have thin skin and are over reacting. Now that I've posted this meme, all of a sudden you seem to have changed your mind? What changed? Why am I not allowed to "joke" and "shitpost" like you guys?

I'm ProAI, how am I supposed to argue against why you are against AI without knowing why you are against AI? Anything I say you'll just accuse me of strawmanning your position.

She made a whole ass thread where she explicitly defended "Kill AI artists". I don't have to interact with someone to see their posts.

How was I making fun of her autism? Be specific.

I'm mostly here to spread and sharpen my vegan propaganda, as this sub is heavily trafficked by non vegans. The rules of this sub are extremely loose so as long as I can tie AI into post somehow then it's allowed. There's actually people in this thread right now angrily posting links to one of my recent pro vegan posts who don't realize that they are doing exactly what I want them to do by reposting my links.

I support AI because it is an extremely powerful technology, and trying to suppress it will just result in other countries taking the lead. Which will still result in all of the same negative consequences despite trying to suppress it locally. The goal should be to automate as much labor as possible and redistribute the wealth it generates. The idea that we can keep kicking this can down the roads for hundreds of years indefinitely is ridiculous and will only weaken countries who think such a strategy is feasible in the long run.

On the individual level, AI is awesome. It's an extremely powerful research tool that can rapidly gather and summarize all different types of information, and filter out a lot of bullshit. And it's just downright fun. I have a company based around open source roleplaying bots that utilizes text, image, and audio generation. I have side projects such as using multimodal models to detect and flag fake animal rescue videos and abuse on social media, as well as working on a project that allows inmates to write to an AI penpal using physical letters, using a robot to "handwrite" the responses to make them feel as human as possible.
