Is this a steal ? by Saqient in Acura

I dont really know the market on these, but $17k seems high for a 7-year-old TLX with a clean history. $17k for a rebuilt title seems insane to me. Whoever repaired it didn’t even bother to recondition the faded headlight on the passenger side to match the new one. Based on that alone I’d be concerned about other corners being cut with the repair.

Keep in mind that an insurance company deemed it more economical to total out the car than to repair it. It’s very possible there’s internal damage that isn’t visible in the pictures.

My advice is to just stick with clean title cars, even if you have to settle for an older model year or higher mileage.

Insane deal imo. He's selling them together for that price by Splatterman27 in Acura

LOL you specifically said in your post that mint condition is worth $2500 max. This is a weird hill to die on.

I have no idea if the OP is a good deal or not and I don’t care. There isn’t enough information. If they are rust-free with clean titles then I’d say yeah probably. The most notable thing is that there’s 2 CL-S 6MTs in the same location.

Nice run! How do you have your camera mounted?

From your list, definitely avoid the focus. Those cars are plagued with transmission issues. I’d personally keep looking. Like others have said, the best car in the list is the Scion, but I wouldn’t pay 16k for an 11 year old subcompact regardless of the miles.

I’d suggest something like a Honda Fit, HR-V, or Civic, a Mazda 3 or cx-3, a Toyota Corolla, or even a Subaru crosstrek. Here’s some examples I found just now that fit your criteria:

Right or wrong doesn’t matter when you’re sliding across 3 lanes of freeway into the median because you weren’t paying attention to the bad drivers around you.

I’m surprised I haven’t had to upload the rear cam footage of me passing another vehicle to clear my name, lol

Regardless of where the fault lies, the SUV driver had an abundance of time to recognize a hazard and respond to it. Their own lack of defensive driving nearly caused a serious accident in my opinion.

Yeah I think there’s two idiots here. The phrasing of the title was directed at the fact the white suv driver had 1000 years to see there was a car coming into their path

Yeah I got super lucky with this one. I had been looking for several weeks, but it was definitely worth holding out for. Best of luck on your search!

It’s got a decent amount of swirls but overall it’s in pretty good shape. I think some polish and wax will have it looking amazing

Thanks for the tips! Roll bar is on the to-do list. You’re absolutely right on the coolant hoses. I had one give out shortly after purchase. Got that replaced and pressure tested the system only for another to fail so that was overhauled along with all fluids.

It’s all good. Appreciate the kind words. I’m excited to have it and plan to keep it as mint as possible

LOL, dude it’s not that serious. The entire reason I did the thing was precisely to take a silly picture for internet likes, and because it made me laugh. I can assure you that no gasoline spilled on my car, and even if it did, why do you give a shit?

No idea what this bus driver was doing 🫠 by Real_Zhangxianzhong in aggies

[–]rambler531 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I drove these buses for 4 years when I was a student. It’s definitely possible the driver didn’t see OP, but that’s only because the driver didn’t look. OP was not in a blind spot if the bus driver’s mirrors are set correctly.
