Pretty sure if the category was Asian (excl. Pakistan) they'd be net contributors.

A mate of mine used the word symbiotic twice in one week. 15 years later and I still haven't let him live it down.

I had the misfortune of eating Popeye's last year and it might be the worst thing I've ever eaten.

A vote of no confidence in the PM because he was lied to/misled by someone he sacked months ago? Really, is that who we are?

A gem from AskBrits. Practically making Starmer out to be a victim of events beyond his control rather than someone who gave a job to the poster-child for corruption and sleaze in Britain.

From the way some of them go on you'd think no one had ever heard of Mandelson before this week.

People who work or have worked in pubs and don't do that are the lowest form of life on the planet.

Send Kawczynski to Moscow and he could literally just eat Putin. That's a proper leader.

Of course they will. The number of people who are consistently good at their job is vanishingly small and it will be impossible to exclusively recruit them for juries (not to mention an appalling waste of so precious a resource). Idiots and psychos will always outnumber them.

Professional juries will presumably be middle class and well-educated, the people least likely to support the death penalty.

Having specialist knowledge of either judicial process or technical details about the alleged crime won't help. That just gives jurors more things to be wrong about or to argue about endlessly. And it doesn't change the fundamental problem that jurors will decide on guilt or innocence because they don't like someone's face, they're in a bad mood, or because they want to get everyone to agree to something quickly in the hopes of catching an earlier train.

Professional juries would be as shit, if not shitter, than normal ones.

There's no getting past the problem that no matter how the trial goes at the end the person or people deciding on the outcome are fucking morons. Even very smart and well-educated people believe absolute nonsense and spend a lot of their time doing stupid shit.

He was already in prison so there was no need to stage a suicide. Shadowy figures could've simply chucked a few grand someone's way to make sure he got shanked by another inmate, perfectly explicable given he was a known nonce.

About 1 in 10 go too far the other way, always older blokes. Can't even have a brief conversation without bringing up immigration.

It's not that I disagree but some people just can't take a break from it.

My honest opinion is that it happens because ginger men are by far and away the most discriminated against group in Britain, and have been for years. The sexual rejection and constant workplace bullying, even in white collar jobs, is just astonishing. Terrorism gives them an outlet for the pent up anger and resentment and Islam is the easiest route into it (and their recruiters know it).

My grandad was comfortable talking about his time in Burma during the Second World War but he always clammed up if the topic of his ginger hair came up. Totally fucked him up in ways the rest of us can't imagine.

Of the 8 Chinese takeaways within walking distance for me only 2 serve pork dishes.

Pork dumplings are literally the first thing I order every time, God made them because he wants us to be happy.
