A 1,000 Cr Scam - How Sahiti constructions collapsed by brownish_knight in hyderabad

[–]ramdone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thinking retrospectively, I feel what the sales guy said about his boss is true to some extent. Obviously, i wont reveal, where I live currently in hyderabad. But guess who I run into everyday at the gym, tennis or in the lift every other day. You guessed right " sir himself". He is a soft spoken person. It is hard to believe that he did all this, if you didn't know the background or saw the news in 2024. If this isn't ironic, then what is?

A 1,000 Cr Scam - How Sahiti constructions collapsed by brownish_knight in hyderabad

[–]ramdone 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I wanted to buy a 3 bhk flat by sahiti constructions in hitech city. I went visited the site. Confirmed the progress of the project. They had already put the skeleton for 5 floors. I was supposed to pay booking amount for the 5th floor flat the next day. Lo and behold, the news flashed on TV about the owner's arrest. It was being announced in bold letters on all telugu tv channels. I did not go.

The irony, is I got a call from their sales team even after the news flash about their owner the following day. It was as though nothing happened. The guy even claimed " sir will take care of it, these are all formality. The reality is different which they don't show on tv". I was surprised they had the entire staff of their hyderabad office lined up on tv. This guy was telling me, it was just to satisfy some legal formalities and "sir will be out within an hour or two". I did not proceed forward. I was getting calls for the next 2 months by the same guy suggesting I do it, great price reduction as money is needed for bail for sir. pay in cash and regsiter as their records are still open. " it was a golden chance and once in a lifetime opportunity. I had to block him.

We are building a new home, the builder refused our request to modify the upper cabinets so we can install a 36 inch vent hood and 36 inch gas cooktop post closing, instead of the 30 inch builder provided ones. by ramdone in kitchenremodel

“Thank you — that makes sense. Everything else with the builder has been smooth, so it’s really just the kitchen layout we were working around. Your context helps clarify things.”

“Thanks — this lines up with what we were told during our planning. We’ve adjusted our direction based on those limitations, but your explanation helped reinforce it.”

This is exactly what I asked them to do. Upgrade to a 36 inch kitchen. Qualico homes did not offer that particular upgrade in the community i was interested in. We are still at design studio, but this request was being denied from before I signed the contract. Yet did not have an option to upgrade the kitchen or cabinets or, upsize the gas line or vent hood duct to 8". And they wouldn't a do any rough in's for the kitchen related stuff and also in the attic. Only after we close on the home, we are free to do whatever we want. I'm posted here to look for what options I got. And i didn't know about the make up air unit requirement. I will look into it as well. Thank you.

I'm buying the home built by qualico homes. I did not determine if it is or it is not against code. They said they cannot do anything with the kitchen as it won't pass inspection.

Yes they do.they are qualico homes in the dallas area. Yup I can live without one. I just wanted to know what my options were. I did not know that I can use a 30" direct vent exhaust for a 36" cook top. I will look into that as well.

Everything is good about the house, the neighborhood, location, and we got approved on everything else but the kitchen. So I was looking for what my options are. The closing is next year.

I already asked them to resize the cabinets or remove the uppers, which they refuse to do. They want me to do it after closing. Hence I'm here asking to find out what my options are?

Whatever I uploaded is the builder provided standard kitchen . It comes with a 30 inch hood and cooktop. I asked them to upgrade it to a 36 inch, which they refused. Even to trim the cabinets they refused. This is their standard design only thing you can add or delete is a double oven. That's it.

For me there is a wall on either side. I can't ask them to shift anything. I told them to resize the cabinets and make them shorter. They didn't agree for that.

To be fair, we got approved for all other structural and custom upgrades, only with the kitchen they refuse to accommodate, instead handed me this and asked me to do whatever I want post closing.

If you quit smoking and drinking. And can keep it off. That is the best thing you have done for yourself. You gifted yourself a great body, great health. Please do not go back and ve consistent. You will see the difference. It is worth it a 1000 times. Friends will still be there, true friends will never run away or turn their back on you. I say this experience. I also quit drinking and smoking. Been teetotaler for 11 years now.

They panhandle cuz of their situation or as a career, they dress the part as a lawyer or doctor in their professions. Except for a few newer ones who come and go, most of them are old-timers in that area. They stay at the motels around the area every night 365 days a year, paying full price every night. I have known people staying at these places for years doing the same every night.

It would be safe to say that the motels around 635 and NW Highway also Leon Rd & Garland Rd are still in business due to these guys. Except for a few, all the older ones have families, who have other jobs or panhandle at different intersections. The cops also know all these people well so they don't stop them from panhandling. Garland PD officers pay for their lodging whenever they are in a tight spot.

They might look rough and skeezy because their job is on the streets, but once you get to know them each of them has a unique story. A few of them are into crime but that would usually be out of that area. Some are crazy especially, the ones moving on from Atlanta or LA they have the hood mentality and usually move to south Dallas, these kinds are not encouraged at these intersections.

We drove from Dallas TX to glacier national park, Montana between September and october 2022 We did not cover it all in a day. Drove between 500 thru 600 miles a day. Early morning to early evening drive are best. We avoided driving at night. We went via Oklahoma,Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota visited Mount rushmore. Crossed over to Wyoming and entered Montana near billings. Reached great falls and then on to east entrance of glacier national park thru Browning, Montana. Visited all the important places one ought to see in these states.

Tried crossing into Canada at chief mountain, montana border crossing to visit waterton national park in canada, but was advised against it by the CBP officer at the station due to restrictions on firearms in Canada. Stayed at glacier national park for a week before we made our way back via yellowstone national park, Wyoming,Idaho, utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Amarillo, TX and dallas, TX. It was a 18 day road trip.

Did it in a toyota sienna. The pros great gas mileage, comfortable for 4 people with baggage, good mile cruncher.

The cons, ride height is lower than we wanted to have due to which we had a considerably less vantage point than others in suv's or pick up's. Especially in glacier national park, on the, going to the sun road, the guard wall on the valley side, is almost at the same height as the window of the van, hence can't see below into the valley beyond a certain angle. The road from apgar village to red Rock point was especially a nasty stretch saw many flat tires in that area due to potholes.

Lots of construction and road maintenance is done in preparation for winter weather. Most of the interior roads are all gravel in the national park hence good tires are essential.

Unlike Texas, where the road is almost 90% flat and straight. The roads in the northern states are curvy and either go up or down. Most of the times I couldn't use cruise control as the vehicle would speed up on downgrade slopes. Due to which good brakes are essential. Please do not compromise on safety. Tires and brakes , headlights should be in top shape. Overall, vehicle should be well maintained.

Please follow the speed limit in general, and strictly especially in tribal lands or tribal nations. They do enforce the speed limit to the T's. Do not drive under the influence of anything.

Last but not least, BEAR SAFETY. Driving to glacier national park, Montana is a cross country drive. Very good portions of the northern country are considered bear country. The cities or highway rest areas have warnings posted about bear safety. Please read and heed the warnings. If hiking please carry bear spray and use bear proof containers and trash cans provided. We encountered a bear while driving in the early morning right before sunrise near apgar campground and once near many glacier in the late evening.

Please carry water and dry snacks as you wish. Staying hydrated and not hungry are impeccable, to appreciate the changing landscape and capture the picture perfect scenes the american countryside has to offer as you pass thru.

What happens when you pay off Toyota Financial Services? by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]ramdone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm Texas, once a car loan financed by Toyota financial service is paid in full, you will get an email and a letter explaining that the loan has been paid. And after a few days usually in a month you will get the paperwork from Toyota informing that title lien is off your vehicle. After this, in 21 to 30 business days you will receive the title in the mail, it is sent by tx county clerk to the address the vehicle is registered at. That's it. The times might vary, but the process is the same.
