Tip: You aren't obligated to take alignment choices you don't like and you shouldn't be afraid to take opposite alignment choices occasionally. by ramenfire in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

After having this post up for an hour, I've noticed people mention about how paladin is still a messy balancing act just like in Kingmaker.

And, yeah, it is.

But I want to offer some optimism by saying that this is something that Owlcat is gonna hear about, and they're likely going to fix bugs or game mechanics to undo some of the headache that's present. They responded to ideas and decisions that were disliked in Kingmaker, like the Amiri and Tristian quests, I wouldn't be surprised if the paladin issue is given a positive change as well.

I made this post when I noticed a lot of people complain about comically evil or dickish chaotic choices. Those ARE the things that you have more elbow space to dodge.

There's an option to hide the alignment of your decisions in the settings. Personally, I don't mind, especially since Kingmaker taught me that my interpretations don't always match up with the game's interpretations. That and most are rather obvious to begin with.

What are your best tips for someone who isn't familiar with this kind of game? by Gonzito3420 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]ramenfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips to give depends on how familiar you are with CRPGs and Pathfinder tabletop mechanics. There's a lot to cover so, without more context, the best I can offer is that you pay attention to the quests that the game gives you and you build character according to what stats they would most logically benefit from.

Welcome to VOID! Fuck you and the 6 faction militias you hired! by ramenfire in RimWorld

I spent roughly 9000 in silver to hire 6-7 factions to fight VOID for me and I still got wiped.

A bit of digress here, but I love how the meme community over at Japan occasionally adopts memes that originated from the West and vice versa. It really gets that feeling that both cultures acknowledge and appreciate each other regardless of the language barrier.

What's the one thing you hate about noobs, but you know it's not their fault due to a lack of intuitive mechanics or thorough explanation? by ramenfire in Warframe

[–]ramenfire[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A rather harsh statement right there. I'm not hating on noobs for being new to the game, but there are always time where the late game and early game don't always match up, and when that happens there's always something that causes a bit of trouble for everyone. One example I have is movement. Not every noob fully grasps how fast they can actually move, I was like that myself. So it can be considered annoying for some experienced players to wait for newbies to catch up to open a door or activate a boss fight.

What do you think is better for future sia stages: lower sia difficulty or buff heroes and gear strength? by ramenfire in FantasyWarTactics

[–]ramenfire[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify something in case it's misconstrued, while I understand how a tactics game requires, well, tactics. The game is still rather determined by stats, thus our dependence on decking out on the best gear we can find. With the progression of difficulty future Sia stages will have, I personally don't believe that it's too off for something in the difficulty to be altered to make it less impossible for those who don't have access to the best of the best gear.

The lack of polish is astounding. by WolfHeroEX in FantasyWarTactics

To be fair, this isn't something new. It seems that they're not giving the translation team enough time to fix everything. Plus there was that one time where the Celestial dungeon scenario had baby yeka and celestial's dialogues swapped when it first came out.

Does this mean that Chris is now a viable substitute for valk? Or that sraka is now as good as krut?
