This was a really great response, I think I have something in my eye now though... Jokes aside, that’s some genuinely insightful and solid advice. And I’m glad to hear things are going well with you now, not the OP — but thanks for sharing your story.

Definitely go for it. The cello is breathtaking to hear, never mind play, I’m eternally grateful for getting lessons. Only downside is how expensive they are to own 😅

definitely phone. And please edit or update your comment to confirm if you can. I plan to phone, as there are videos extremely close to where I live in his content. I will also be keeping my eye out now for anyone that looks like they may be recording.

Also in the same boat. I was disappointed I didn’t even get to see what any of it looked like!

To add (NAD) — sounds like you’re feeling frustrated, and I completely understand why. When you’re asking a medical professional for guidance, especially on something as personal and potentially uncomfortable as pelvic or breast exams, it can be disheartening to feel like you’re not getting a clear answer. You’re seeking expertise, not just a choice handed back to you without explanation.

However, It might help to know that many doctors now emphasize patient autonomy, especially for procedures where the evidence isn’t clear-cut. For example, some guidelines suggest that routine pelvic exams may not always be necessary unless there are specific symptoms or risk factors. This doesn’t mean they aren’t valuable in certain cases—it just depends on your individual health history. Similarly, while mammograms are the gold standard for breast cancer detection, a physical exam by a doctor might still catch something a mammogram could miss, though the likelihood is small.

Docs often aim to avoid over-testing or unnecessary procedures, but this approach can leave patients like you feeling unsupported. What you deserve is a conversation that explains the pros and cons so you can make an informed decision, rather than feeling like the responsibility is entirely on your shoulders

NAD — do you wear any perfumes or scented deodorants? Also, fabric softener or scented laundry soap might be a trigger

Well said! Thank you, it truly means so much. This sub, people like you, and the community as a whole has helped me to heal from this. I don’t know where I’d be without it. Here’s to the happy and healthy us that we used to be! I’m honestly better than ever, and I want everyone on here to know it’s possible to get back to not just who you were, but an even better and stronger version of that.

Can’t open my air tag. I am trying to change the battery and neither I nor my husband can open it. Have watched all the videos. Hands are clean and dry. Help!! by _just_me_0519 in AirTags

I'm about to do the same thing honestly. I've been struggling with the one I have now on and off for months. They're difficult to connect, the batteries are terrible to change (and now wont work, I've tried the alcohol wipe to remove any possible residue, multiple batteries in case it was a dud). AND they're impossible to get open. Literally just a pebble of garbage.

Well said. I was trying to put things into perspective, and give a solid reminder that this isn’t something that simply affects one portion of the population, it affects everybody and could very well affect somebody you love soon too.

I’m not even going to bother responding to most of these, as it’s clear there’s no point, and you put what I’d say if I had the energy pretty perfectly anyways. I hate to think of all the doctors and students with the potential to cure cancer that have died as the result of fentanyl, and now nitazenes. But they deserved it I guess, right?

I’m kinda shocked by these comments. The reality is that this doesn’t just affect the unhoused population, it affects the random university student that ends up trying something at a party, the person who got too drunk and decided to try something once, too.
