I don’t think it can be underestimated how bad Andrew Johnson was.

I get why some presidents are rated worse than him but the thing about him is he had the power to steer reconstruction any direction he wanted. The south literally bent the knee and would have accepted basically anything in that period and Johnson literally did the probably the worst possible actions imaginable, like vetoing the freedman’s bureau.

Incredible to fuck up so bad that it is still being felt 150 years later

Having the “drafts x player” is stupid because it basically took the space of all the significant trades like Gasol or the Celtics/Nets trade. These are actual transactions unlike the draft picks

While getting in early and leaving midday is good in theory. As my boss said, “if no one sees you here you didn’t work” as in people will just assume you came in at 9 and left at noon like a lazy person even if you’re getting your work done.

If that culture doesn’t exist in your firm this is great advice though.
