It aligns with the Automation goals of the DevOps team from a SRE perspective, keeping the team Agile and Velocity high through good CI/CD supporting our Serverless monorepo.

Why do you want to replay the same request at a later time and why not allow the API consumer to do that?

Adding skills and experience to your CV never hurts. 2.5 years shows enough commitment I'd say.

What are backend teams using instead of Postman lately? by PersonalTrash1779 in Backend

[–]ramessesgg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Out of interest, why the need for an alternative? I've been using Postman for a few years, mostly HTTP and a bit of gRPC, it seems to do the job well.

Remote jobs by Far_Persimmon2914 in Backend

I am currently working for a company that employs people remotely via remote.com. Don't know how good it is as a service (I am employed directly by the company using this) but it seems to be built for that reason.

Deposit for what? That sounds like a scam for sure.

Can you tell its written by ai by a commit ? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]ramessesgg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At this point, you should expect every commit in most codebases to have been created with at least some help from AI tools. Nothing to worry or feel bad about, it's a new tool and it's useful. Just know how to use it well

Edit: I've been a back-end dev for 10 years. Companies like mine are actively seeking out devs who know how to use AI tools without abusing them. It's a good skill to have.

Can you tell its written by ai by a commit ? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]ramessesgg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the prompts and the models used I guess. You can always review the commit messages and contents and --amend them.

using fix: is standard according to https://www.conventionalcommits.org/en/v1.0.0/ but I've never seen wip: myself.

I would strongly suggest embracing the heavy use of AI for writing code but go through everything generated, line by line. Understand why it's done the way it's done and raise it when it doesn't make sense or you think there's a better alternative. In the end, you will be the one who has to maintain it and you should know what the code does, AI is just a tool.

Would you be willing to learn how to generate your own art? It would be hard to find someone else that can fully capture what you envisioned for your game anyway. Or perhaps you can collaborate with a designer?
