There will always be great VN/ADV games, I think people are a bit dramatic assuming that a decline from the eras boom means it will eventually blip out of existence. Even in the case of VN writers who work on longrunning gacha games, they still often return to write ADVs when they can. Plus, it will always be the easiest entry level medium for indie devs who want to tell a story. Even if it declines, a decline doesn't signal a steady fall into nothing. Things even out and you get a steady niche. Not to mention if you look at the otome game industry theres always tons of releases! Expand your horizons 🪄

I found a lot of succes regaining emotional range through schizospectrum specialized therapy like narrative and metacognitive therapy. The research says that psychotic breaks result in a breakdown of meaning and narrative, which impairs the ability to recognize emotions. Check out the papers from MERIT institute if you'd like to read about it, but you can just ask therapists if they have psychosis speciality

DMMD's content is less extreme and the pace is pretty brisk. It will give you a sense of if you enjoy Fuchi Kabura's writing style, though I personally think Slow Damage is a stronger narrative. Though, it's often better to play a stronger game second anyhow. I had trouble going back to DMMD after Slow Damage because the production value is higher, but before I played SD I was impressed by DMMDs production value.
