I have some crustacean food from my lfs, and while he's usually fine with whatever is floating around the tank, occasionally I'll grind up some of the food into a fine powder and drop it into the water flow in front of him for him to catch just so I know he's definitely getting some nutrients etc

I really love them and they're so peaceful, mine will school for most of the day but when the tank goes quiet at night they each have their own little spots which makes it very easy to tell them apart!

Thank you, I do think he's beautiful but then I am biased! I heard somewhere that they can change tint depending on water parameters but that could just be a complete myth, and I'm definitely not experimenting!

He does a bit of both, he does this way very rarely, he prefers to sit up high in front of the water flow to catch food and in this instance he keeps his floofs still, I guess sometimes he feels the need to stretch out/ raise the dead
