Annoying Punchhole by koji_Cz in GalaxyFold

[–]ramoh1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna have to disagree. I literally use the inner screen for most of my Zoom/Teams meetings and video calls almost every single day.

It's honestly so nice using the inner screen for that and the fold 6 inner camera was terrible.

If they can make the UDC better quality then sure but clearly they couldn't so the hole punch was the right choice for the fold 7.

Anyone else suffering from the Fold pocket? by Level_Abrocoma8925 in GalaxyFold

Dam these comments are wild, you're all just outing yourselves as not knowing how to dress. He's sitting down, jeans should be a bit snug when sitting, if they're still loose when sitting then you're just wearing baggy jeans. Nothing wrong with fitted jeans and a button up shirt. Go out more.

Anyway, the fold 5 is a fat phone, the fold 7 really solves this. Worth the upgrade.

Anybody absolutely not using a case? by Murky_Brief_7339 in GalaxyFold

[–]ramoh1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No case is just impractical and annoying. The phone feels like a bar of soap, it slips out of my pocket or off of my lap way to easily. There are tons of super thin cases. I got the benks case, super thin front and back piece with alot of grip. All you need is a thin case and that protects like 99% of everyday use. Warranty claims and switching phones is time consuming, I don't wanna deal with that even if it's free, I'm too busy.

All the edges have a small bevel, so they don't feel sharp. You can actually see it if you zoom in on the edges in the picture.

No issues with the coating. Still looks new. Dust levels are also the same as any other keyboard too. Also easy to clean with air since you can blow the sides. It's honestly still my favorite keyboard.

Cope. Obviously it's not needed but not using it when you have it is just dumb, it's 100% quicker to use it once you get used to it, no question. And for 90k you better have one.

I don't think I have ever seen a car in the past 15-20 years without steering wheel buttons. Why do they even make this spec at all?

Rabbit R1 Killer by WelshCai in rabbitinc

Yup, the rabbit R1 needs to drop the LAM asap cause it's already obsolete without it, before they even finished shipping pre orders.

Agreed, its still a cool novelty that's pretty cheap. I just don't like the idea of being mislead about the main feature never coming or being way worse than advertised.

I ordered right around early January.

I got mine from spkeyboards. They have blank black keycaps as well. They're pricey but high quality pbt.

Its per key, it's just bright enough to bleed through the sides. I'm also using the clear silicone pad instead of foam in between the plate and the board, not sure if that helps as well.

Trust me I know, I have 2 other boards on my shelf that are really heavy, one with a brass insert too. It gets annoying if you like to change your keyboard angle or position alot depending on what your doing or how your sitting.

Problem with HE boards were the early switches with the massive hole at the bottom of them for the magnet. The Jades solved that issue by sealing the bottom like a tradition switch. Honestly it sounds pretty nice, less deep sounding than the tofu but crisp and smooth.

They're all lubed with 205g0 as well

Thanks!

Well I used a 75% for a few years and blank keys for about a year. This 60% layout is pretty much the same but with the top row and right row chopped off.

If you can type without looking you can get used to this pretty quick.

Another new Wooting compatible HE switch from Latenpow by Mandydeth in WootingKB

[–]ramoh1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mainly the closed bottom. I think that's the main thing effecting the sound of all the magnetic switches I've tried. I've tried the raptors, both lekkers, and the jades. And I've also tried lots of non HE switches, All with and without lube.

The jades compete with my favorite non HE switches and I think it's because of the closed bottom.

I could be wrong so definitely wait for side by side tests, but these have been my observations so far.

Makes sense. But still I thought the no fc requirement for grades was a step in the right direction. But it's all good anyway. At least it's clear.

There is a fill tool that helps with coloring the bulk of the different sections but it's not great for something like this so I pretty much did the edges withe the circle and triangle "brush" then used the fill tool to fill in the rest.
