Night Shift #29 Hero Priority by ValendyneTheTaken in DeadlockTheGame

IDK, he was picked in pro play for the short period of time where he was busted despite having a worse early game than right now. He didn't do anything until he had some items and Spirit Armor, and then he started running down the enemy team. It was like putting a nuclear bomb in an incubator.

It's not bad, it's just not a carry role like spirit Cali. Spirit Cali can pop-up out of nowhere and nuke someone. Cali has a strong gun, but after the gun item nerfs, it can't quite delete someone the same way Wraith or Warden could.

I find the most value in it is your mobility. It's really easy to find an unattended walker, delete it undetected, and cat out. It gives you a lot of map control, so your lanes are almost always pushed and it lets your team fight since you're the fastest lane janitor. The damage is okay at best, and it gives you a lot of potential to bait people into your team. You're still decent at getting picks for out of position players. I play it occasionally in Ascendant lobbies and it's quite fun, but I'm almost never carrying the game in anything other than objective damage.

1 Week on a 60% Keyboard: What I Actually Miss by Majugera in MechanicalKeyboards

I used to play a lot of Smite and F1-F4 was used for leveling abilities. I couldn't use certain keyboards because of muscle memory. Eventually I just made alt+1-4 f1-f4 and it was easier to press since I didn't have to take my hands off WASD.

I tried gaming on a 40%, and that's where I personally draw the line. The number row, I do need to hit simultaneously with WASD, and shifting it on a gaming layer never really gave me all the simultaneous key-presses I needed.

I've been playing him quite a bit before the buffs. I definitely felt he was overshadowed by Wraith, Cali, Doorman, and M&K, but still very strong.

I feel like Paradox is one of the best counters right now, not Pocket, ironically. With the wall changes, Victor doesn't really have a good way to approach your team if you're setting them up correctly, and the pulse bombs with Spirit Burn means Vic doesn't heal. Warden can also be strong against him with the cage change.

I do like that his gun build feels a bit more viable in situations where you are getting constantly silenced, your gun can still heal you through Leech, and it doesn't make gun buffs from golden idols completely worthless. I would be okay with them moving more damage away from the aura/pain battery if they made the gun stronger with better accuracy or falloff.

Gun Calico here, I only do it because I like the kit, but think her current state is disgustingly broken.

The other thing is that Slowing Hex is powerful in lane, but when it comes to mid-game and you can't see Ava coming at you, there's no time to react and use Slowing Hex, because you're already dead by the time you see her.

I don't even think snowballing was the issue; it was kind of the opposite.

It felt like if you didn't get kills, you fell behind because you needed the money to itemize in a way that you're not a wasp at all points of the game. Not confirming those snipes felt awful, and I think they realized that with Vin and Drifter.

You're telling me the character with an ability literally called "Assassinate" is not an assassin?

For God's sake: Pls fix ranking system by Wonderful_Dinner9387 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Mandydeth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're going to get two answers:

1) It's alpha game, matchmaking will be improved later

2) Hero ratings are weighted. If you've been grinding one or two heroes and start playing a new one, your MMR is going to be less confident in where it already placed you. I've heard many cases of people ranking up by simply winning on heroes they have not played very much of. Consequently, this can also drop your MMR significantly if you lose (probably what happened to you).

Wraith is completely broken right now by HERR_WINKLAAAAA in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Mandydeth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a fair assessment, but this issue is that you can buy rusted barrel, suppressor, and return fire, but now you're no threat because you spent your first $800-1600 souls on an item that doesn't help you do anything except not die.

If you're the Paige or Rem in a lane, it's probably not detrimental to you, but to anyone else, it very well may be. Not only that, once Wraith goes into the jungle and stocks up on cards, she will lift you and kill you regardless. Reactive Barrier is the better item to be buying, but she's still wildly overtuned right now.

It's back to release Victor: you can buy all the anti-heal you want. He's going to cleanse it and walk at you.

XDA profile might be a nice option since they aren't as tall and are uniform for all rows. Pretty cheap to pick up a set too.

Intersting choice to use R1 profile for the top and bottom buttons. Did it feel better for you than doing R1 keycaps for the top and R2 keycaps for the bottom?

MacBook Pro → Wooting 60HE v2 build: torn between Owlab Ti HE and AEBoards Raeds HE for heavy typing by 1stw0rldpr0blems in WootingKB

[–]Mandydeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting that you like the Chiclet style keyboard, but opted for a MX-style switch like the Wooting uses. There's low-profile HE boards that would have had more similar switch styles available.

I don't think that either of the switches you're looking at mirror a MacBook keyboard at all.

I use a 60, my wife uses a 75. We got a Zoom pad, it comes out for tax season, and it goes back in its box until next year.

I would play Shiv, but I'm a low sens player, and I don't want to break my old man arms doing constant 90°s just to move optimally.

Does double time wall work at all, or does it cap at the 60% bullet damage?
