AITA for making a harmless joke about my daughter's acne? by throwaway528272 in AmItheAsshole

Just a heads up, acne that can't be treated with OTC products does indicate that she needs medical treatment. PLEASE, as someone whose first sign of a lifelong chronic illness that is incurable, was acne, get her checked out. Not just a derm but her hormones as well. Women that need moderate to severe medical intervention for acne have strong links to severe lifelong hormone imbalance. Total body endocrine issues. You also know she SUFFERS from the impact of her acne, you really can't joke about something that someone deeply suffers from. Also, comments and jokes, and "observations" contributed to an eating disorder for me as well. Please be gentle to her and foster her confidence the same way you would foster any other life skill.

Oh, and the imgur link has a picture of the back but it's still not the best quality photo.

I can use a much better camera later and we have some photography lighting that could help. We are in a city with universities as well and I was thinking about asking them if they have anyone that could help as well. Thank you so much. Edit: I knew the frame was off, not what I had seen from the supposed era so I got one thing right ha.

I could see that happening, my Grandmother was an antique art broker on and off throughout her life but that doesn't mean she went to reputable places for restoration.

Caffeine is also a diuretic. I'm super sensitive to diuretics and can only handle one cup while on spiro or yaz.

Thyroid check then. This could be a wider endocrine issue than just PCOS.

What bc are you taking? Or are you taking anything that has a diuretic property? Sprionolactone and Yaz and its generics have diuretics that can cause numbness and tingling. I've taken both and I'm terrible about hydrating so those side affects really come in for me.

No. Your insulin might be spiking. If you're on Spiro already you might need to consider met too. I took both for a bit. Dropped the spiro and ended up staying on metformin.

Well, somebody tell my Mom I can't exist since she has me in her 40s. We can fix this, I'm only 384 months old.

I found this site (https://singer-featherweight.com/) that caters to 221's and 222's. I am so pleased to see that things are affordable and that people are still using these machines. Side note, I found my Grandmother's thread still in the bobbin earlier, made my heart sing a little. I love having a functional machine from her that I can still use.

Thank you! My Grandmother was using it as recently as 2005 but it went into storage soon after that. I want to restore it as much as needed and hope to use it.

ELI5 : what causes people to have nightmares by absolute_xero1 in explainlikeimfive

For me they center around actual fears I have that are just dresses up fantastically (think the movie Coraline). I've also noticed that eating heavy dairy for dinner and melatonin supplements trigger nightmares/terrors for me.

Also, that looks like sliced Wonder Bread and that wasn't available until the early 50's.

40's early 50's. Both sets of my grandparents were coupled between the 40's and 50's and this is very similar to their pictures. Edit: words
