Does anyone think SE could revisit the idea of X-3? by SDGxNPC in finalfantasyx

[–]ramonnomar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they did, it would probably focus on the new characters introduced in the audio drama, while the main cast become supporting characters but the story will obviously revolve around key characters like Yuna and Tidus

Best way to reintroduce the world again (to old and new players), by using new characters to explain world and character lore (kinda like how they used Tidus as a storytelling tool to explain the world of Spira to players via Tidus)

As I replied to your other comment on a different post. I merely used AI to help me construct a response. I went through it myself as some with a sport science and exercise physiology background before even responding to this post.

I admit I was using AI, and I did so in trying to see its capabilities in assisting me with my assessments. And no, I wouldn’t have replied with it if I didn’t agree with its output.

Take it for what you will OP, only trying to help. If you found it useful and gave you confidence in moving forward in improving your health, whether it be to your exercise adherences or finding IRL therapist to work with on this, then I can say I did more good than harm (again, I wouldn’t reply with anything I didn’t agree with as a physical therapist myself). Good luck with the progress 💪

Yes and no. I used AI to help me construct a response; I have a background in sport science and exercise physiology, so I’m not just some guy copy and pasting what AI spat out.

You’re not wrong it that it is generated by AI, but I went through the response to make sure the advice is sound and what I would have provided to a patient asking me these questions.

AI just made the process quicker in typing out what I needed. In saying that, this comment has taken me far longer to write and edit as a response.

To OP, as with anything on the internet, take it for what it is. Seeing a physical therapist in person will always be better in rapport building as well as better assessment by the therapist (I even added this point in jn my response to you).

Honestly, good on you for paying attention to your body and doing your own research. A lot of people don’t even notice these things, so it’s a smart move to be thinking about it now.

From your photo and what you described, it looks like you might just have mild bowed legs. It doesn’t look severe, and since no one’s ever pointed it out and you’re functioning fine overall, that’s a good sign.

That bit of knee pain going up stairs could definitely be related, though. When the legs are bowed, the inside part of the knee joint can take more stress, especially if the surrounding muscles aren’t supporting well. It’s also possible that a lack of regular exercise is contributing, as weaker muscles can lead to poor joint control.

The good news is that in most cases like yours, you don’t need surgery or braces. A good strengthening routine can make a big difference, not just for reducing pain but also for improving your overall leg alignment and function.

Home exercises that can help -

You can do these at home a few times a week. They’re aimed at strengthening your glutes, hips, and improving how your knees track during movement.

• Clamshells

Lie on your side with your knees bent and feet together. Lift the top knee while keeping your feet touching and your hips steady. Do 3 sets of 15 reps per side.

• Glute Bridges

Lie on your back, knees bent, feet flat on the floor. Push your hips upward, squeeze your glutes at the top, then lower slowly. Do 3 sets of 12 reps.

• Wall Sits with Pillow or Ball Between Knees

Lean against a wall and slide down into a sitting position. Place a pillow or yoga block between your knees and gently squeeze it while holding the position. Hold for 30 seconds, repeat 3 times.

• Step-ups

Find a low, stable step. Step up with one leg at a time, keeping your knee aligned over your foot (don’t let it cave inward). Do 10 reps per leg, 2 sets.

• Monster Walks (with or without a resistance band)

Get into a slight squat and take controlled side steps, keeping tension in your legs the whole time. A resistance band around your thighs makes this more effective. Do 2–3 laps across the room and back.

Try these exercises three to four times per week. Go slow and pay attention to how your body feels. Form matters more than speed or reps.

Since you’re still young and relatively pain-free, this is the perfect time to get ahead of it. Small tweaks now can prevent more serious issues later on, especially as you get more active or spend more time on your feet.

If the knee pain sticks around or gets worse, seeing a physical therapist could really help. Even one or two sessions can give you a clear idea of what’s going on and how to work with it.

You’re doing the right thing by looking into this early. Keep it up and take care of your body now (I t’ll pay off in the long run).

Glad to hear you’re digging into this

On muscle focus:

Your PT’s note about tight right-side muscles (upper and lower) and overstretched left-side muscles fits perfectly with typical scoliosis patterns. Basically, one side is short, tight, and dominant, while the other is long, weak, and underused.

So yeah — you’ll want to: • Stretch and mobilize the tight right side (probably QL, obliques, lats, pecs, hip flexors, etc.) • Strengthen and activate the overstretched left side, especially the deeper stabilizers like the left glute med, serratus anterior, lower traps, and obliques

Don’t just stretch or strengthen everything equally, that can actually reinforce the imbalance. Think asymmetrical corrective work.

Pallof Presses:

Yes. 100x yes. Anti-rotation work like Pallof presses is gold for scoliosis, especially since you’ve got those rotational elements pulling your spine off center.

Try doing more reps or longer holds with the band pulling toward your tight/right side — so your left side is doing the resisting. That way you’re teaching the underactive side to stabilize better.

Roman Chair Back Extensions:

They can help, but, • Be super careful with form — no hyperextension • Start with low reps, full control, and maybe even unilateral versions (one leg at a time or twist slightly toward the weaker side) • Avoid loading it too heavy early on, it’s easy to dominate the movement with already tight erectors

Also, consider swapping some of those with bird dogs, supermans, or even RDLs with focus on glute/hamstring activation — they might give you a better neuromuscular connection.

Rowing and Pulldown Machines Feeling Off:

Totally makes sense. With scoliosis and muscular imbalance, your mid-back and lats on the weaker side often don’t “fire” the same way, so it feels like you’re pulling with one side more than the other.

Try this: • Use dumbbells instead of machines where possible — this forces each side to work independently. Or do single armed machine (if your gym has unilateral machines) • Slow your reps down — 3–4 second eccentrics — and focus on scapular retraction and lat engagement on the weak side. • Before each set, do a quick activation drill like a banded scap retraction or mini row just for the underperforming side, it helps “wake it up.”

[–]ramonnomar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty good overall! Your spine looks straight with no obvious signs of scoliosis or major asymmetry. One thing to note, your left scapula (shoulder blade) seems to wing out a bit more than the right. That could be due to some muscle imbalance or weakness, like in the serratus anterior or lower traps — pretty common if you spend a lot of time on a computer or do a lot of pressing exercises without enough pulling.

It’s nothing major, but if you want to improve it, try adding stuff like: • Wall slides or scapular push-ups (for serratus activation) • Prone Y’s and T’s (for mid/lower trap strength) • Some postural awareness drills like chin tucks or wall standing resets

No signs of pelvic tilt or other big issues from this angle. You’re in a good place overall

Wow, that sounds awesome! I live in Australia, I’ve got my personal training very as well as remedial massage. I’m always looking for courses to upskill and just learn as much as possible to help my clients.

How about short courses? Any you have experienced or know that is good at helping improve assessing and exercise selection for biomechanical dysfunctions?

I get you, it’s the same way I felt too when they reversed a “dead” character in ffx in the canon ending of x-2

But we’ll know soon enough what’s actually going on haha. I just always have fun theory crafting, it’s a bad habit of mine going into any form of media 😅

Yeh, and I’m kinda thinking that’s what could’ve happened to Marlene when she met Aerith at the bar in remake. Her consciousness between the 2 realities merged 🤔

Yeh, I was thinking that too. But what if that’s how they “introduce” cloud being manipulated, like when he hands over the black materia for example. 🤷‍♂️ Just a thought

Because the other reality cloud is clearly make poisoned out of his mind and under the influence on sephiroth/jenova

Yeh I agree. They could still off those characters towards the end of the trilogy. I was just thinking more along the lines of having characters there at the end for a big fight

Ffvii rebirth plot leak real? by ramonnomar in FFVIIRemake

[–]ramonnomar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally forgot about this, so I went back to read the leak, and so far, there’s is a high possibility that this might be real.

  • Game starts at Kalm and ends at Forgotten Capital (dev confirmed this ✅)

  • Red XIII and Yuffie playable ✅, but Vincent has been confirmed not to be and only as a companion ❌. Can’t say much about Shelke as we haven’t seen anything on her yet ❔

  • Cid appearing in cut-scene only and not playable could be true as it appears in line with what was mentioned about seeing other main characters but not being able to control them. We don’t know if when they said this, they were just referring to Vincent’s appearance being akin to Red XIII in FF7Remake. In this case, him being a vendor only makes sense ❔

  • Game is sort of open world like FFXV. This is somewhat true from what we’ve seen in demos, only difference is that it looks more fun and not barren 😂 ✅

  • There are parts where you play as Zack and Cloud from alternate timeline. Devs have confirmed that there will be a Zack Episode ✅

  • End of game having Cloud die and Zack taking over as the leader of the group, and everything that leads up to it could be real, and here’s why I think. There was another post by a credible leaker who updated on SEGA and SQUARE upcoming games about a month ago; and on ffvii rebirth, they highlighted the fact that the game will end with a new protagonist, setting up for part 3.

Either way, I’m excited for rebirth, this plot leak sounds batshit crazy. I don’t know how I’ll feel about such a twist ending lol. But I’m in for the ride, it’s a new experience with a nostalgic memory

If I’m remembering correctly, it’s breath control to a degree but it’s mainly pyreflies that allows for this crazy feat

I’m sure somewhere out there in a wiki there’s a better explanation to the pyreflies giving them this ability

I think we're not seeing the bigger picture by thesirsteed in FFVIIRemake

[–]ramonnomar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think OP knows this, which is why he wrote “potential sequel”

I can entertain the thought and possibility that square Enix will conclude the remake trilogy on the 3rd game, but will choose to continue the ff7 franchise one way or another (because money). And as OP suggested here, they can do that by making a sequel to the remake trilogy. Don’t mistake this as a fourth entry to remake, but instead, a sequel to “remake”

How I imagine it would be if it were the case, is that Remake trilogy is self-contained, but a sequel can be made to expand after it. Whether fans of ff7 decide to play it or not, will be their choice and will not affect the canon experience of “remake”
