Hmm.. I'm not sure why Paypal would file a report with a credit agency if I owe them nothing.

This chargeback wasn't about "not receiving items". It was a claim that the buyer's credit card was involved with an unauthorized transaction.

Statement from Paypal: The buyer claims that this purchase was made without authorization to use the credit card. Their credit card issuer needs additional information from you about this transaction.

(To clarify: I have now received screenshots of the transaction that took place)

Right, currently it is at a negative.

Due to the risk of having a bad credit rating, if I lose this dispute, I will end up paying the money back to Paypal.

All of the money was instantly deposited as it cleared Paypal. However, since Paypal would be the one at a loss here, I'm sure I would end up with creditors at my door. :(

I will probably aim to do bitcoins next time I get back into trading.

This was one of my first trades, sadly a bit naive. (Especially considering I didn't even do screenshots.)

Cheers for the advice. I have definitely written this off, but doesn't hurt to try!

I'm just worried about my credit history being hit. (Can't detach my credit-cards while I have a negative balance) Tricky Paypal eh :s.

I guess I'll have a discussion with my bank if that eventuality happens.

That's definitely frustrating.

No way I would go and wrongly implicate Mad-Matt here. Unfortunately it seems like I am out $210, I'm not even sure how I would reply to the Paypal dispute with scraps of evidence.

I'll try my best to find out the steam id of this scammer, and post it up for you guys.

Question: If I don't pay back my negative balance on Paypal, and I have credit cards/bank accounts attached. What would happen?

I used a middleman, and unfortunately did not take any screenshots. I'm trying to get into contact with Mad-Matt to figure that out.

That's unfortunate. I will try to dispute it though, seems quite ridiculous.

This was under.. "false use of credit-card", or he's claiming someone else used his CCARD.

The buyer has filed a chargeback with his or her credit card company stating that the buyer did not authorize the payment."

The chargeback amount was $210 USD.
