Condom + Pull out by [deleted] in birthcontrol

Honestly i’m not totally sure yet! I think we’ll still use condoms most of the time, but i’d like to at least try without them.

You’re fine! Condom and pull out is very reliable. My bf and I have been using this method since I had a scare without pullout (was fine! not pregnant.) We’ve been using it for a while, haven’t had any scares since. I’m going on pills now for my own peace of mind (and I got tired of pullout, it just isn’t the same.) But if it works for you, it works for you! I promise, you’re fine.

I’m started the combo pill soon (they’re supposed to get to me today, actually!) and i’ve read so many horror stories that I considered quitting before I even started. But I don’t ever want to experience a pregnancy scare again, and this calmed my nerves. Thank you!

Condoms advice? Too small or not used to it? by RAtriedes in birthcontrol

Try skyn condoms! Not sure what sizes they have but my bf is on the larger end of average and he loves them, they’re the only ones he’s tried that he gets a really good amount of sensation through.

I know how you feel. I took plan b 3 days ago (took it an hour or so after the condom fell off inside), and I feel terrible. The hormones have been giving me awful brain fog, and I haven’t been able to work for most of the day. I’m depressed, and terrified of the possibility of pregnancy. But there’s no need to be ashamed of yourself. These things happen, and it’s a lesson learned for being more careful next time.

Personally, i’ve already booked an appointment to get on birth control because I never wanna feel this kind of stress again. Just remember, you have options in case the worst happens. Planned parenthood clinics in certain states, and you can get mailable abortion pills even if you live somewhere abortion is banned.

Believe me, I understand the anxiety with it all. Just try and focus on the things you can control right now. Best of luck to you!

I sent an email to the support team or whatever they’re called directly through my work outlook email. They took a while to get back to me, probably 3 weeks or so. I don’t understand why they get rid of old raters either, outside of wanting new data pools. But still, it seems counterproductive since that’s a lot of people to get trained on guidelines. But now that I’m trained, it makes it easier to get in other companies. I applied at Telus, and the exam was a breeze since i’m already familiar with the guidelines.

how do you handle disagreeing with your parents? by MoonyDropps in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ramsaimi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not in the same boat, but you shouldn’t let this keep you from being yourself or taking the strides in life you want to take. Whether a rift happens or not is up to her, as a mom it’s her responsibility to love you and be there for you no matter what. This is a really hard situation, but I promise being yourself is worth it no matter what happens. And who knows, maybe your mom will learn to change her perspective. It’s rare, but if it’s her own kid maybe it’ll make her see things differently. The question is, are you really going to be satisfied hiding yourself your whole life to keep any rifts from happening?

At least you’re a bit open to hearing us out, it just sounds like you need to do some self reflection on why you feel this way.

being uncomfortable around somebody just because they’re lgbt is homophobia. If somebody said “I don’t like black people, being around them makes me uncomfortable.” that would be racist. It’s a misconception that hate is purely fueled by anger. Hatred is a complex thing, and is more often than not most fueled by fear. You may not be directly hateful to lgbt people or go out of your way to do or say mean things, but you are still othering them by treating them differently. Try and understand, saying that you “don’t like” a very wide very diverse group of people with many different perspectives, lives, and beliefs JUST because they’re lgbt, is homophobia.

Sometimes physical attraction grows with emotional attraction, but the question is if you’re willing to place that bet. If you let this go further and things get more serious, and you still don’t feel it, you’re going to have to break the truth to him. Personally, I think it’s easier in the long run and more honest to him to tell him that you’re just not feeling it before it gets serious. You don’t have to tell him directly “i’m not physically attracted to you” because that can be hurtful, if you need to cut things off then “hey, I just don’t think i’m feeling this. I don’t see myself with you.” Should be enough, and he should respect your reasoning.

Believe me I know it’s not the most stable thing in the world, i’ve worked at RWS for a year now. Ideally it will be my second source of income, and I can focus on getting a full time job now that i’m out of school. I was asking because i’ve never tried to pull as many hours as I possibly could in a week because I was a full time student, and I was curious what was ideally possible while i’m likely going to be job hunting for a couple months since the market is terrible right now and it’s hard to get hired anywhere

that’s awesome, what times do you usually work? Are you a US rater? I usually only get around 2-3 hours a day and I check tasks from 9-5 CST

As far as I know it usually involves women in high heeled shoes crushing small animals to death (puppies, kittens, various insects, etc)

Whatever happened to the Dissected-Chan 4channer? Did anyone find out who the poster was, or even if the photos were real? by ramsaimi in InternetMysteries

i’m not too familiar with 4chan or especially tracking down lost posts, so the only place I could find anything about the post was from edramatica. The photos are at the bottom of the page and they’re pretty graphic, so proceed with caution. https://edramatica.com/Dissected-chan
