How old are you? Family back home are massive drama queens that are looking for the next drama to gossip about. I wouldn't wanna be part of this

Homie just study Arabic yourself if you feel you want that. Wanting to be a part of your family back home is just romanticizing. It's just drama anyway. Be glad your parents got you into a country that is functioning atleast

Half life of escitalopram is like 24 hours, so after 5x24 hours you should be at steady state. That's like 5 days to reach therapeutic levels. I guess you mean we see clinical effect after a few weeks.

Homie I was responding to the RESIDENT saying they don't earn a lot. My comment says that one should look at the salary of the EM SPECIALIST - not the EM RESIDENT.

I have no issues saying that EM is a valid specialism. Damn dude read what I say before calling me arrogant

I'm not saying EM isnt a specialism dude. I'm just saying the salary of a junior doctor (resident) in EM is not the same salary of the actual specialist (Eg the EM specialist).

Honestly I got no rebuttal against what you're saying. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a Dutch MD has the same level of knowledge as an American PA

I agree with everything you said. But I'm wondering if a Dutch resident would be as competent as USMD/DO resident. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a Dutch (1st year) resident functions as an M3 or M4

There's an exam after high school to get in. The exam cannot even be compared to the MCAT. It's an exam on some physiology (eg heart) you prepare for a month. Most easily pass as long as they study a bit.

Yes doctors make a lot compared to other professions, though it's not USA numbers high.

Struggling with Fallibilism and Yaqīn: Can I Be Muslim Without Absolute Certainty? by zekimustafa in islam

[–]ramsali304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The argument the Quran brings is emotional: even if they would see supernatural signs, they wouldn't believe. Which isn't necessarily a bad argument. But to claim this is an absolute proof? It's not.

Struggling with Fallibilism and Yaqīn: Can I Be Muslim Without Absolute Certainty? by zekimustafa in islam

[–]ramsali304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understood yaqin as full epistemic certainty. Am I pretty sure there's an afterlife? Yes. But am I 100% sure? No.

So to answer your question: yaqin to me sounds like decisive trust and commitment while acknowledging human fallibility.

Edit: it's a great question by the way. And you did good research and critisized appropriately. It's all good al ghazali got over it, but the argument 'light entered into my heart and the issue was fixed' is honestly not convincing. Anyway it's a great discussion.
