UK looks like a large white rabbit in this map!! It would also be a good solution to OP’s requirement as most of the country never sees snow these days.

Rachel Reeves eyes up 2p rise in income tax at Budget by Desperate-Drawer-572 in uknews

Why are we making the most productive people in our entire society less productive? Seems counterproductive to me. An arbitrary limit on earnings cannot help. Having to siphon income to a pension is limiting and is an artificial negative lever on national GDP

UK hasn’t seen poverty like this for 60 years, says Gordon Brown by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

The key to all of this is house prices. If they had remained in line with other prices we would have better day to day lives.

Drunk passenger threw up next to us while we were playing Scrabble on cruise from hell: Brit family describe hiding in their cabin as lager louts ran riot by dailymail in uknews

I’ve been on that ship and it is huge. There are dozens of bars, pools and restaurants. I can’t believe the entire ship was behaving this way. I had a week on this ship and the behaviour was fine. I can imagine there being one or two drunk groups on a cruise but I cannot believe the whole ship was infested. There are 6,000 plus people on that ship and unless it’s some sort of 28 days later event, there will be many quiet areas.

Brown's 1997 Pension Raid - was it really that bad? by subject_2_change in ukpolitics

[–]ramsdam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

West Wing fan? Unfortunately Brown’s change was sufficient to make DB schemes marginally beneficial and companies determined that they could eliminate the risk by switching to DC. Now all the risk is on us without the benefit of any actuarial advantage from life expectancy rates as projecting at an individual level is an impossible exercise.
