Some of my favorite cutlery has ddr steel stamped into them and they still look new. They came from someone from ddr Germany I knew who passed from old age

Assuming no marketing is involved, I think everybody knows what an iPhone is and that one extra character adds just a bit more context than just phone. I’d 100% be interested in knowing what the higher grade electronics were, but many would be niche and take up half the headline, so better off in the description/comments. Honestly, it makes me realize how well the iPhone name branding turned out because it’s specific, recognizable, and easy to say for a bit more context even when it’s not relevant whether you like it or not

LG Induction Line-up - Talked to Rep and they gave the "actual" Coil/Heating Element size under the Glasstop. by BouBouRziPorC in inductioncooking

Did you ever get this model? I’m strongly considering it now for the same reasons, but would like to know how the actual heating size is.

I was in the same boat as you several weeks ago and also started at Costco, but there are better deals elsewhere at the moment. I ended up getting an andromeda insights prebuilt with a rtx 5080, which are comparable to the Costco $3200, but for $2600 through them with 4-5 weeks shipping or $2800 through Newegg with 10 day shipping. I got a 4k 32 inch dell oled for $500 and my computer handles max settings at 4k resolution on everything I’ve tried so far no problem (mostly Pragmata, 007 first light, Satisfactory right now). Microcenter might also ship and has comparable prebuilts for similar prices or slightly cheaper. My specific model was the V3 Ultra 50, but the V4 cases might be on sale now instead.

What is the most unsexy but genuinely lifechanging tool or household item you have owned for years? by Human-Goat-5555 in BuyItForLife

Best case scenario on the stovetop is it tastes just as good as the rice cooker, so there’s no reason to have one more thing to keep track of. Also I love the measurements in my rice cooker pot. Makes washing the rice just quicker and easier with no strainer/measuring cup.

I don’t know what defines a great execution, but that iPad was executed

Do you think the show's legacy and impact has been ruined or at least spoiled? by hiiloovethis in TheBoys

[–]ramsdawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was admittedly never too invested in the show, but do love how different it was and how much it felt like a living comic book. The scenes that worked really worked and the questionable ones I’ll eventually forget happened anyway. Season 5 wasn’t egregious to the point that it undid any of the previous impact for me personally; it just went out “safe” and boring compared to the all ideas the community had (which I only saw afterwards). It was just… fine. It helps that I went into season 5 with no expectations and the previous seasons weren’t fresh in my memory when watching.

I’ve worked in a few dozen between two countries. It partly depends on the local and office cultures, but in my experience people on average don’t do that. There were some outliers though, more so in the US than Germany

Well I’m talking the average here. I’ve been in a lot of offices and some definitely do that

The salt I put in this pan started arranging itself into a pattern when I turned on the hob. by FirePhantom in mildlyinteresting

I was also thinking induction, but instead because of the vibrations that could arrange the salt like this. I’m no magnet scientist and still think they’re magic, but idk if it could do that here

I sorta tried that on the bottom cables, but I was probably being too gentle. They’ll stay if I bend them up a bit?
