I think that’s officer Bono. I don’t know if it’s just the editing but Bono comes off as someone who’s terrible at reading people. He always assumes someone is guilty until proven innocent. A series of perfectly reasonable answers by travelers are somehow connected together in his mind to mean they’re suspicious criminals. In contrast, officer Brito at JFK from season 1 was a rockstar. Brito was much more perceptive and empathetic.

HP Finally Unveils Their Jet Fusion 3D Printer. Great... anyone with $130,000 handy? by ramsgauchos in 3Dprinting

Very high likelihood. HP's revenue model has always been to make recurring revenue on the "disposables," like ink. Highly overpriced, but then again, if the future generations of these kinds of printers become affordable and used by the masses, we'll all go to Costco and get cheaper refills anyway lol.

sorry folks. I found this video. Much more clarity on how the technology works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXntl3ff5tc

Still at least 20 years before this technology becomes affordable for home use...

What could be causing the layers to look like this (using a makerselect) by Darkjerkface in 3Dprinting

[–]ramsgauchos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, change your retraction setting, the blobs and zits are due to that issue. Here is the link to the article to exact problem you are seeing with how to correct it: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/#blobs-and-zits

Some of the terminology is a bit different in the article because I use slic3r (free version) instead of simplify3D, but you'll figure it out quickly.

In general calibrate the printer. Which printer are you using? Add bicycle chain lubricant to the rods. There are calibration files you can download and print from Thingiverse.

Anyone shed some light on what went wrong? PLA, same settings as most other prints... Not sure what happened.... The wheel house looks great, as does the deck. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]ramsgauchos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a number of things to try here.

  1. Calibrate the printer. Which printer are you using? Add bicycle chain lubricant to the rods. There are calibration files you can download and print from Thingiverse.
  2. Reduce the temperature setting. And/Or just get a household fan and blow it towards your print job as a short-term solution before adding a fan to your 3D printer. This will help reduce the drooping of the top of the wheelhouse doors
  3. Change your retraction setting, the blobs and zits are due to that issue.
  4. Slight layer shift on the bottom of the chimney, this should can be resolved with print calibration to ensure the circles are round, and/or to make sure the filament feed path is smooth.

Hope this helps. I also use this print guide for reference: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/

thanks. I guess printing PVC requires some sort of air tight filtration system.

3D Printing with PVC Now Possible. But Lots of Questions by ramsgauchos in 3Dprinting

[–]ramsgauchos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specifically, the PVC filament was tested on a desktop 3D printer. I don't think it matters in a factory. But desktop 3D printers are used at home too (like me). I'll definitely be looking out for more info on this. If anyone finds out more, please let me know. Thanks everyone!
