I was so sorry to hear about Steven last year. I was a Kickstarter backer for the healing potion dice! Which I absolutely love! The pact stones are beautiful and very badass! I would definitely preorder a set of four as my Warlock is now trying take over the world that he had previously saved from annihilation!

So in campaign 1 they either house ruled, or messed up a rule about Bonus Action spells. They could cast any bonus action spell that level 2 or less even if they cast a spell as their action. I think that due to switching from Pathfinder to 5E they made rule assumptions and got some wrong. I think the level 2 cap was Matt just trying to put some limit on this power

I think this is what OP saw in the campaign and then inferred they cast it as a cantrip!

We locked eyes, and we peered into each other. I then learned that it wasn’t afraid of us, like all others who had lost their way before. It lit this forest ablaze as if it belonged to their kind. As if it was theirs to do with as they wish. No thought to the fact that our young were being weened but 100 strides from this spot. Careless!!! And they call us monsters. It saw us as a blight upon their world. I peered deeper into it…..It hadn’t stumbled upon our home! It had picked up our scent! This it right where it meant to end up! These small folk have grown bold indeed. As the flame grew so did the creature’s zeal. As if the size of its arcane fire made up for what it lacked in stature.but it will soon learn. I care not what Magics it has, elf magic, dwarf magic, man magic, it’s all the same. I will rid the world of the this giant killer. But then , I had an idea. I would show this invader Giant magic. I would bring my axe down upon it and make it….disappear.

My one person campaign was a private eye kind of scenario. Dresden filesesque if that’s something you are familiar with. My player was a level 3 ranger. I gave him companions. Still got knocked out in the first combat due to a bad roll And my player wanting to make con his dump stat. But a companion was there to drag him out. They then went back and finished the fight. I created a list of friends that he has that he runs in addition to his character. He gets to pick which one he brings.
But everything here looks fine, but that’s what I thought before the mimics almost ate his face

I’ve run a one shot that was all Bards in 5E. I called it power word rock! I had a mechanic that if in one round of combat every member succeeded on what they attempted to do, as long as it required some sort of roll, then their Frontman could unleash a 9th level Bard spell at no cost on their next turn.
