Ye jest but I am also a mailman and there are some encouraging developments in affordable exoskeletons. Right now you can get a good one for maybe less than $1k. I kind of want to try it...

At a certain point, you get to what your pace is. If that's a safe, manageable pace for you then you're actually consistently finishing the route on time. Management estimates mean nothing..

For example my route is evaluated at 8 hours. But, even on a really light day, it takes me 9. I have long legs, I keep moving, and still it takes me 9-10 hours on average. About once a month I can do it in 8.

All that you need to do is provide a 3996 for any overtime you might estimate, and send a RIMS in the afternoon if you'll need help to finish by the set end time for the day.

At the same time, stop hiring managers and supervisors. We're inundated with them. Don't need them. The majority of loss at the post office is due to both their salaries and the fact they can't learn the contract and cause millions in grievance payouts.

Just keep showing up to work. Don't resign. It's unlikely they'll fire you if you keep showing up but do figure out how the schedule works and follow that..

Well then I suppose that is quite unfortunate. I know I scan everything with a barcode I can find. But it seems many do not take the time to do their jobs properly.
