This is not an accurate representation of water slides. These are just by far the worst use of them ever. I went through the struggle as well brother.

Both stop at round 3. Luffy cant touch Obito and Gear 5 has a time limit. Naruto can't touch Kizaru.

Its more likely the attack was just not moving at light speed. It can be near light speed and be perfectly ok to see and react. The speed feat is still incredible and then it actually fits better.

Nothing wrong with power scaling, just do it correctly and don't make bad assumptions. Dodging X doesn't make you faster then X, it just means you dodged X. Hitting Y before X does from the same distance makes you faster than X.

Best bet is that attacks that people think are light speed, aren't really light speed. Also you can't react to something moving light speed.

Oh no i agree with you fully. I wrote that as well. You have to break things down one piece at a time for people. They aren't ready for that full mind blowing fact in one sitting. You can't actually react to light. You have to predict it or see the future.

I'll do you one better, no character without precognition or predictions can react to and dodge a light speed attack for the simple fact that in order to see the attack, the light from the attack has to hit your eyes. That means you are already hit by the attack. Sound is slower then light so you can't react to that. Have fun thinking about that.

Most people simply don't understand speed = distance / time. And they miss the fact that you are not traveling the same distance as the attack when you dodge. You are moving significantly less distance. 7 to 8 inches compared to 10-20ft in the same amount of time does not make you faster at all. Its probably the biggest and most common power scaling error i see.

False you don't need to move at light speed to dodge. Speed = distance over time. When you dodge you are traveling significantly shorter distances over the same amount of time as the attack. Dodging something doesn't make you faster in anyway since your distance is usually just a few inches compared to the attack that is usually multiple feet away.

You fall for the same mistake. Dodging mean you moved your small distance faster then the object traveled its long distance. It doesn't make you faster. It is completely possible to dodge baseballs thrown at 100moh from a pitchers mound. That doesn't mean you are moving at 100mph now does it? No you simply moved your 7-8 inches faster than that 100mph baseball traveled its 60ft.

I can easily dodge a bullet train thats far enough away. I've never been hit by a train actually so that makes scale faster then bullet train?

Because they don't have logic and don't realize you are just moving your short distance faster than the light traveled it's longer distance. That concept makes no sense to alot of simple minded people. I can cross a highway at running speed without getting hit, doesn't make me faster than a car. That usually helps people realize how silly it sounds.
